Airdrie vs Rangers Prediction and Betting Tips for Friday

Scottish League One action continues on Friday night as Airdrie host league leaders Rangers at The Excelsior Stadium.

The visitors have been in the headlines again for their off-field antics but their league form on the pitch so far has been flawless in picking up two comfortable victories in their pursuit to get back to the top tier of Scottish Football.

The Gers started off their league campaign at Ibrox by beating Brechin 4-1, and then racked up a 3-0 victory away to Stranraer last Saturday.

One of the men who netted against Stranraer was Striker Andy Little, with the Ulsterman picking up where he left off last season which saw him finish as top goal scorer for the season and the young forward looks a good bet to continue to hit the target on Friday evening.

In contrast, Airdrie have had a relatively poor start to the season by only taking one point from their first two fixtures. The Diamonds, who were relegated last year, were beaten by Stenhousemuir at the weekend, which followed an opening day draw at Forfar. Airdrie were also knocked out of The Challenge Cup on Tuesday night by Queen of the South after a 2-0 defeat.

Despite Airdrie’s players no doubt raising their game against the Ibrox side, this should be a comfortable win for Ally McCoist’s team.
