Today’s football betting tips for the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Bayern Munich come from our football tipster.
Pep Guardiola knows exactly what to expect when he takes his Bayern Munich team to the Nou Camp tonight; but stopping his former club will not be easy.
Barcelona v Bayern Munich Betting Preview Today.
To restrict Barca’s in form trio of Neymar, Suarez and Messi will take a masterful display of tactics and discipline from an injury ravaged Munich side. Guardiola knows his former side inside out, but will he be able to use his knowledge to inspire a first leg victory?
When Messi ran rings around Man City in the second round of the Champions League, Pep Guardiola was in the crowd to witness one of the most skilful individual performances of modern times. Messi was like a grown man playing football against toddlers. He was simply unstoppable. The expression on the Bayern manager’s face was one of disbelief; even after working with the magical Argentine for so long, Guardiola himself could not believe what he was seeing. As well as trying to nullify Messi, Bayern will have to stop Neymar and Suarez too, who, on their day, can produce individual performances of sheer brilliance.
Barcelona’s season has gone exactly to plan so far; they sit top of La Liga and have a two point lead over Real with three games to play. They have scored 105 goals in their 35 league games, the same amount as Real Madrid, but importantly they have only conceded 19, compared to Madrid’s 32 goals shipped. Enrique has his team playing fabulously entertaining football, but he has also got his defence sorted out. What was once a weakness for the Catalans is now becoming a strength. They look like the team to beat this season and nobody is more qualified to try than Pep Guardiola!

Bayern winning the Bundesliga has been a foregone conclusion for the last few years and they duly delivered another title with several games remaining. Despite their domestic dominance, injuries have plagued their season and they have missed key players for long periods of the campaign. Nonetheless, their home form in Europe has been remarkable and they have recorded a 7-0 victory over Shakhtar and a 6-1 win against Porto in the previous rounds. However, their away form has been patchy and will be a worry ahead of the trip to the Nou Camp. Shakhtar and Porto are decent sides, but they are nowhere near the standard of Barcelona. Bayern will do extremely well to get through this tie unscathed with so many key players missing; Robben, Alaba and Badstuber are definetly out, whilst Ribery and Lewandowski are doubts. It is going to take a real effort for Pep to enjoy a winning return to his former stamping ground.
Bayern have relied heavily on their performances at the Allianz arena in the knockout stages. Their displays away from home have been disjointed and lacking in the verve and attacking intent that characterises their style of play. I feel that Pep would dearly love to beat his former employers, but I feel he would absolutely hate to lose. Bayern will set up to be competitive, but ultimately to try and contain Barca’s attacking talent. With Robben out, and Ribery and Lewandowski doubtful, I feel Bayern will lack a cutting edge in attack and ultimately my Barcelona v Bayern Munich predictions is that Barcelona will win.
For our football tipsters’ first tip tonight, take the 6/1 special offer that Barcelona win at Ladbrokes.
Luis Suarez has come into fine form at just the right time for Barcelona. He has five in his last two games and looks to have finally settled since his summer move from Anfield.
The next Barcelona v Bayern tip tonight is Suarez to be an anytime goal scorer; odds of 6/4 can be found with .
Despite the obvious quality on both sides, I feel that this first leg will be a cagey affair and will ultimately produce only a few goals. My score prediction for Barca v Bayern tonight is I think Barca will take either a 1-0 or 2-0 victory with them into the second leg, and as such I am backing this game to have under 2.5 goals. Odds of 11/10 can be found with Betfair.
