The final match of the last 16 gets underway on Tuesday evening as Belgium take on the USA. With live coverage on BBC, tune in at 21:00 and here are some free World Cup 2014 betting tips.

Collecting a maximum nine points from their three group matches, it appears Belgium strolled into the knockout stages. However, as anyone who has followed their games closely would know, this was far from the case. Their opening victories over Algeria and Russia both needed last minute winners from substitutes. The Belgians then made extremely hard work of beating South Korea last week, in supposedly their easiest game. In fairness, the match could and should have been over way before Jan Vertonghen's late strike, but for Steven Defour seeing red for a cowardly stamp in the first half.

In stark contrast to their opponents, the USA scrapped through their group by the skin of their teeth. After pinching a win late on against Ghana, they then played out a highly entertaining draw with Portgual and finally slumped to a single goal defeat at the hands of the Germans. A heavier loss and some more efficient finishing from Portugal could well have seen the Americans miss out.

Firstly Belgium have either been drawing or behind in all their group matches at half time, with all their goals coming in the second half. Secondly, the USA conceded late on against Ghana and were fortunate to still win. They also conceded a decisive second half goal to the Germans as well as a last minute equaliser to Portugal. Whether it being inexperience or a lack of quality at International level, the Americans do tend to leak goals at crucial times. Therefore, a 28/1 shot with Bet365, back the USA HT/Belgium FT.
