With Van Gaal in charge fans were expectant for the season ahead but it has been far from what they expected so far. The Clarets lead briefly in their opener against Chelsea before succumbing 3-1 and Burnley more than troubled Swansea last week but just couldn’t find the net as they lost 1-0. They also exited the cup to lower league opposition as they lost 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday. There are positive signs at Turf Moor but the squad does still lack depth and quality and it appears they also need to sign players if they are to meet their survival target this season.

The Turf Moor crowd will once again be up for it and many fans will be aware last time Burnley met Manchester United at home they pulled off a 1-0 win, with Manchester United struggling to get going surely they have a slight chance again.
