1.55 Goodwood

Sea Shanty will undoubtedly be popular here, stepping up in trip after two stout efforts recently over 1m.  He has stamina to prove but is worth a crack at the longer trip.  Stomachion is another likely one having flattened out close home at Epsom over further and is proven on a switchback track.  The vote though goes to WIGMORE HALL (33/1 bet365) for whom soft ground can be blamed for two of his three defeats this season.  He deserves another chance off such a dangerous looking mark.  

2.30 Goodwood

BEACON (10/11 SkyBet) should be hard to beat in this field, his most recent Sandown win is the best form on offer and he looks a natural five furlong horse.  Cotai Glory looks likely to give him most to do having improved again to run a fine second in a Newbury Listed contest last time.

3.05 Goodwood

Doubts over some of the older horses here with Gregorian, who would have been the form pick, likely to need more juice in the ground and Garswood well below his best this year including in headgear.  This might be a good opportunity then for TOORMORE (2/1 Betfred) to get his season back on track dropped into a Group 2 after disappointing at Royal Ascot.

3.40 Goodwood

Tricky handicap to finish with old foes Dashing Star and HAVANA COOLER (4/1 William Hill) facing off again.  The quick ground swings the balance in favour of the latter with the step back up in trip likely to suit as well.  Continuum has only gone up 2lbs for a battling York success under similar conditions and should go close if the headgear mix works again.
