1.50 Newbury

A tricky opener with HILLSTAR (11/4 Betfred) just preferred. He deserves a win after a consistent run of seconds. Tasaday is another to consider but her best form is over slightly shorter.

2.05 Ayr

AINIPPE (7/2 Coral) was a shade disappointing last week at Doncaster but it's interesting connections turn her out again so soon and she gets the vote to regain the winning thread. Zuhoor Baynoona hasn't been seen for four months so fitness must be taken on trust but her York run behind Patience Alexander and Tiggy Wiggy reads well.

2.20 Newbury

Limato won over C&D last time out, beating Cotai Glory who rather threw away his chance next time out at Doncaster. Baitha Alga trod in a hole at York so can be excused, but JUNGLE CAT (9/2 bet365) has improved for racing and can take another step forward here after just failing in the Gimcrack.

2.40 Ayr

Three-year-olds top and tail the weights and Lexington Abbey warrants plenty of respect. However, BOGART (8/1 Betfred) has been running back into form and looks likely to give his running again at a good price. Arctic Feeling is another in excellent form at a working mans price.

2.55 Newbury

Air Pilot has had his problems but is a decent horse on what he has shown so far, a 4lb rise for a second place finish to Farraaj is far from prohibitive. MADEED (9/1 Coral) still looks very fairly weighted on what he has achieved so far especially if blinkers have the desired effect. His second to The Corsican who has followed up since looks strong form and he gets the vote.

3.15 Ayr

SKY HUNTER (7/4 bet365) has an outstanding chance at the weights but hasn't done much to justify his mark this season. Given the opposition, and the addition of a hood for the first time, he gets one more chance. It was a far better effort from Gabrial last weekend and he can finish placed.

3.30 Newbury

Take Cover is a natural speedball but will find the penalty a tricky obstacle to overcome especially with Moviesta on their Goodwood running. Not for the first time, the latter failed over six furlongs last time and will be better back over five. MECCA’S ANGEL (9/4 William Hill) is a progressive three-year-old and should be suited by the rainfall.

3.50 Ayr

From the low half of the draw MINALISA (25/1 Betfred) is interesting having run well all season in Listed company, travelling very strongly last time. AN SAIGHDIUR (25/1 William Hill) was third in the Silver Cup last season and is another to have kept better company this year. A drop of rain wouldn't hurt and the headgear could bring about further improvement.
