Channel 4 betting tips for each race shown live from Newmarket, Newbury and Market Rasen on Saturday.

This Saturday sees the Channel 4 cameras covering racing from Newmarket and Newbury on the flat with jumps action from Market Rasen. Plenty more big field races to wade through in the search of winners.

1.50 Newmarket

The last time we saw MUSIC THEORY he finished less than three lengths behind Kingman, a performance that should ensure he scores if straight enough after an absence. Edu Querido might be his biggest threat as this represents a considerably easier task than Marco Botti's horse has been set of late.

Tip – MUSIC THEORY (E/W) (8/1 SkyBet)

2.05 Newbury

Provenance should do better on this quicker ground than at Sandown last time with the first time hood an interesting addition. FEEDYAH ran a cracker at Royal Ascot off the same mark as this in a much better race, another effort like that and she should be able to score.

2.25 Newmarket

Astonishing and Khione are old foes, this being the third time they have met each other this season. Both have been a little disappointing and may have to give best to CRITERIA. John Gosden is mopping up similar races and her Ribblesdale form is head and shoulders above the field this season.

2.40 Newbury

It's a treat to see AL KAZEEM back on track after a failed attempt at stud. Whether he will be fully wound up is questionable but he is a class above these under optimum conditions. The quicker ground might give an added dimension to Triple Threat while first time blinkers add interest to Vancouverite.

Tip – AL KAZEEM (WIN) (9/4 Ladbrokes)

2.55 Market Rasen

SLIM PICKENS has improved like so many horses do for the move to Dr Richard Newland’s yard. While he has only won a couple of minor events one couldn't help but be impressed and it would be a surprise if 130 is a high enough mark to stop him. Montbazon is hit and miss but this quicker ground could help and he adds a touch of class.

Tip – SLIM PICKENS (WIN) (6/1 Coral)

3.15 Newbury

AHTOUG has been running well in better company in 2014 and should be more than capable of getting his head in front in this field as long as the sixth furlong doesn't tax him too much. Music Master ran a career best in the Golden Jubilee but he will need a strong pace to be seen to best effect.

Tip – AHTOUG (E/W) (12/1 William Hill)

3.30 Market Rasen

Peter Bowen has a great record in this race and his Book 'Em Danno has been in winning form over C&D. It's A Gimme looks a potential improver for strong connections but the vote at a price is TINDARO. Paul Webber's charge is back on his latest winning mark with plausible excuses for recent defeats and he looks overpriced.

Tip – TINDARO (E/W) (25/1 Coral)

3.50 Newbury

TIGGY WIGGY has done nothing wrong in her career so far and, although a middle draw means Richard Hughes has an early decision to make, she sets a strong standard. Realtra looks the biggest threat at the weights in receipt of 15lbs and, although the step back down in trip is questionable, the pace should be strong which will suit.
