Expert Cheltenham tips 2014 for a lucky 15 bet on day one of the Cheltenham Festival, Tuesday 11th March.

The opening day of the Cheltenham Festival is one of the biggest betting meetings of the year and we have got a lucky 15 betting tip for Tuesday’s action.

We have got four Cheltenham 2014 tips for today as we look to bash the bookies with an opening day lucky 15 tip.

Open a new William Hill account and get a free £25 bet for the Cheltenham Festival.

Our first horse in the lucky 15 selection is VATOUR (3/1 William Hill) in the 1.30pm who leapt to favouritism with a great performance at Leopardstown that seen him see off The Tullow in a perfectly judged rie by Ruby Walsh. Favourites have a poor record in this race so we can oppose Irving, who is thought by many as aflat track horse. Vatour’s victory indicated that Ruby Walsh is capable of dictating the pace of the race from the front and he quickened up nicely to win in Ireland.

The second Cheltenham tip for Tuesday’s lucky 15 comes in the very next race (2.05pm) where we are tipping DODGING BULLETS (5/1 William Hill) in the Arkle Trophy. The selection is third in the latest betting odds behind favourite Champagne Fever and Rock on Ruby. Dodging Bullets was last seen chasing home Module at Newbury on bottomless ground and that performance over the bigger obstacles gives us faith he is now ready to perform to his best around Cheltenham. Rock on Ruby doesn’t look like the best chasing horse and Champagne Fever could also be better over hurdles.

Our third selection for the lucky 15 comes in the feature race and he is our long time Champion Hurdle (3.20pm) tip. We are tipping HURRICANE FLY (5/2William Hill) to do the business again by winning the 2014 Champion Hurdle and taking the roof off the Cheltenham grandstand. The Willie Mullins stable star has strengthened up as favourite in the betting and the way he saw off Our Conor off the last at Leopardstown in the Irish Champion Hurdle suggests he is at his best and ready to win the Champion Hurdle for a third time. Mullins has said he is stronger than ever and this could be Fly’s time to show his peak form at Cheltenham.

For our final selection in the Cheltenham 2014 tip for day one we are looking to many people’s banker for the meeting in the Mares Hurdle at 4.00pm, QUEVEGA (4/6 William Hill). The superstar is unbeaten around Cheltenham and after winning last year despite clipping heals at the top of the hill, she will be once again primed to win the Mares Hurdle. The odds are not the most generous on offer but she usually drifts before the race so make sure you bet with William Hill who are best odds guaranteed. She is many people’s Cheltenham Festival NAP and it’s easy to see why.
