Cheltenham Day 2 Tips

1:30 Neptune Novices’ Hurdle Betting Tips

Willlie Mullins won this race last year with Faugheen and will be looking to follow-up this year with NICHOLS CANYON (4/1 William Hill).  An above average sort on the flat, this five-year-old has been impressive over hurdles winning three of his four starts.  His latest victory came when stepping up to this trip in the Deloitte Novices' Hurdle, winning impressively at Leopardstown, and should be suited to the quicker ground at Prestbury Park.

2:05 RSA Novices’ Chase Betting Tips

I lot of hype has surround Don Poli yet he looks short enough in the betting on what he has achieved on the track.  Instead, I prefer THE YOUNG MASTER (11/2 Paddy Power) who looks sure to finish in the places.  Neil Mullholland's stable-star has been progressive in handicaps all season and was an impressive winner outside of Novices company at Ascot last time out.

2:40 Coral Cup Handicap Betting Tips

LAC FONTANA (E/W) (20/1 Betfred) has disappointed since winning the County Hurdle and a Grade 1 at Aintree last season, but has the ability to win this now returned to handicap company.  Although his form reads 434 this term, he was contesting hugely competitive races and, this son of Shirocco comes alive in the Spring, having won at Cheltenham three times in his career.

3:20 Champion Chase Betting Tips

This is a fantastic renewal of the Champion Chase and all eyes will be on the returning Sprinter Sacre.  in terms of a betting proposition I prefer to oppose Nicky Henderson’s mount and instead side with CHAMPAGNE FEVER (11/2 Paddy Power).  Willie Mullins’ charge has a fantastic record at Cheltenham, having the Champion Bumper, Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and having only just lost out in last year’s Arkle.  Last time out at Gowran Park, this son of Stowaway jumped very well and comes alive when he visits Prestbury Park.

4:00 Glenfarclas Handicap Chase Betting Tips

This Cross Country event is an intriguing contest, with the French raider TOUTANCARMONT (E/W) (8/1 Betfred) a very interesting runner.  The eight-year-old has a fantastic record in these types of races and, in what looks to be a poor field, should be good enough to claim success.
