However, the improving horse with all the right credentials is SAPHIR DE RHEU (NAP) (6/1 Paddy Power), who can carry the baton for the great Big Buck's. He's open to any amount of improvement and the Cleeve Hurdle is often the key trial for this contest.

This is often won by a horse with previous Festival form, and none will come in to the contest with much better figures than RAJDHANI EXPRESS (E/W) (10/1 bet365) – who won the novice handicap in 2013 and was third in the Ryanair in 2014. He gets in here off a mark of 152, but minus Sam Waley-Cohen's claim, he's essentially running off 149 and could be thrown in.
