Cheltenham Day 4 Tips: Expert Tips for Friday at Cheltenham 2015

Cheltenham Festival expert betting tips for the Channel 4 coverage on Day 4 of Cheltenham 2015 with previews for each TV race on Friday 13th March 2015

The curtain will come down on the 2015 Cheltenham Festival with an action-packed card on Friday.  Channel 4 cover five races from Prestbury Park and we have free betting tips for each.

Recommended bookie today – 7/1 AP McCoy rides ANY winner today at Paddy Power.

1:30 Triumph Hurdle Betting Tip

I've long thought that Kalkir would be perfect for this contest, with the faster pace, bigger field, better ground and stiffer finish all in his favour – but confidence has waned in recent weeks, and Ruby Walsh has overlooked him.  In all reality, impressive trials day winner PEACE AND CO (NAP) (11/4 Ladbrokes) sets an extremely high standard (8lbs clear on official ratings), and he'll be very hard to beat.

2:05 County Hurdle Betting Tip

This won't win any marks for originality, but QUICK JACK (13/2 Paddy Power) looks tailor-made for this contest.  He's crept in at the bottom of the handicap, is open to bundles of improvement, is a course winner and represents connections who were victorious in this race in 2013.

2:40 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle Betting Tip

Both horses towards the top of the market have slight question marks hanging over them.  Black Hercules, strangely, hasn't had a run for over three months, while No More Heroes ran a poor prep race (subsequently scoped badly).  Therefore, the selection is MARTELLO TOWER (E/W) (10/1 bet365), who is unbeaten over this trip and is a hardy battler.

3:20 Gold Cup Betting Tip

Silviniaco Conti unquestionably sets the standard, but he has never won at this track and that’s off-putting.  Any forecast rain that materialises will aid his cause, the same of which can be said about MANY CLOUDS (8/1 Coral), who is fancied to improve again.  This is often a contest that goes to second-season chasers who are on a steep upward curve, and Oliver Sherwood's Hennessy winner fits the bill.  He's an accurate, economic jumper with a rock-solid attitude and he can lift the crown.

4:00 Foxhunters Chase Betting Tip

The weather will be key to the outcome of this contest, as favourite Paint The Clouds won't want any rain at all.  He is six from six over fences and goes well at Cheltenham, so must be high on any shortlist.  The market looks to have underestimated SALSIFY (E/W) (10/1 William Hill), a dual winner of this race who can lay claim to being the outstanding hunter chaser of a good generation.
