1.55 York – DBS Premier Yearling Stakes (Class 2) 6f

E/W Selection:  OASIS TOWN @ 12/1 with Betfred

Progressive filly who built on her maiden win to finish third in a valuable sales at Newbury last time out, showing good early speed and pulling 2L clear with the front two. Was getting weight from those around her that day but she was only getting a 1lb from runner up Lilbourne Lass, who has subsequently won and placed at Listed level. From the family of several smart 2 years old including Richmond winner Mister Cosmi and 2 year old trophy/Middle Park placed Auditorium, she is bred to be precocious and looks to have a solid each-way chance with the step up to 6f unlikely to pose her a problem.

2.30 York – Lowther Stakes (Group 2) 6f

E/W Selection: KAIULANI @ 14/1 with Betfred

Won on debut and put in a respectable performance at Royal Ascot on just her second start when ninth behind Rizeena in the Queen Mary Stakes. She did not quite look experienced enough on that occasion but that will have brought her on again and she was running on well towards the finish. The form of that race is solid and she does have to reverse form with Reroute and Alutiq on that running. However on what will be just her third start she is open to plenty of improvement and at the prices is worth chancing in an open race with the step up in trip sure to suit.

3.05 York – Clipper Logistics Handicap (Class 2) 1m

E/W Selection: SAM SHARP @ 25/1 with Coral

Wide open handicap and the selection is a consistent performer whose last win came at York in a competitive handicap earlier in the season. He races off a 7lb higher mark today but the form of that race is strong, with 5 winners coming out of it which included the second, third and fourth all winning next time out. He lost little in defeat when 2^nd to Snowboarder at Newmarket off 92 and before a slightly lesser effort last time out. He was doing all his best work at the finish that day and if he does not dwell as much at the start he will be doing so again here. Not as progressive as some in the race but does remarkably seem to be improving at the age of 7 and could outrun his big odds at a track he has had success at in the past.

3.40 York – Darley Yorkshire Oaks (Group 1) 1m4f

Selection: THE FUGUE @ 5/2 with Betfred

A Group 1 winner already, The Fugue has some top class form in the book and can count herself a little unfortunate not to have won more Group 1 prizes. Hampered in the Oaks as a 3 year old when looking a likely winner, she also went down narrowly in this race 12 months ago. She has some good form with the likes of Al Kazeem and Declaration Of War earlier in the season but ran poorly last time out in the Eclipse. Scoped badly after the race and needs to bounce back now but conditions should suit her and back against her own sex she should make her presence felt.
