Fiorentina to beat Bologna 4/9

The Viola of Florence will be hoping to get back onto winning ways when Bologna will be their opponents on Sunday. In round 15 of the Serie A, AS Roma defeated Fiorentina 2-1, meaning three points in the match up against league strugglers, Bologna is crucial. If Fiorentina were to slip anymore points against Bologna, who are battling to survive, will mean the purple outfit could slip into 6th position if Hellas Verona were to win over the weekend. Fiorentina will also be full of confidence, with the home leg and the fact that Bologna have failed to seal three points in their last four league games. Bologna were also knocked out the cup by Serie B side Siena earlier this month. Between these two teams, Fiorentina have won five of their last eight encounters with Bologna.  Fiorenze will be much encouraged to start out the blocks quickly.

Bayer Leverkusen to beat Frankfurt  1/2

After the 1-0 victory away to Borussia Dortmund, Sammi Hypia has guided his Levekusen side to 2nd in the table, now six points clear from the yellow title hopefuls, Dortmund. Bayer Levekusen are now on a four game win streak and will welcome Frankfurt to the Bay Arena full of optimism. Their opponents, Frankfurt will be travelling to the North Rhine region with the sense of grabbing a point or even a shake up. Frankfurt come into this round after sealing qualification to the next stage of the UEFA Europa League with a convincing home display against APEOL Nicosia. However, Levekusen could have the last laugh, firstly because of the Frankfurt’s dreadful away form and secondly, they have qualified to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Vitesse to beat Nac Breda 1/4:

Vitesse edge away from expected champions, Ajax , after a commanding and attacking away display against ex champions, PSV Eindhoven, a match up that saw eight goals, six of them by the team from Arnhem. With three points clear at the top, NAC Breda will have to play with a defensive notion on Sunday because Vitesse have scored three goals or more in their last four league matches, that has added to their five game win streak in the Eredivisie. NAC Breda cant be ruled out just yet, because they too also defeated PSV Eindhoven 2-1 back in November and will be looking to start their campaign again after failing to seal a victory in their last three games. Vitesse look no doubt, the team to back and three points here will add to the season to remember for the yellow and black stripes.

Lyon v Marseille to be a draw 47/20:

Goals have always been of the plenty with these two teams that share a glorious history in Ligue 1, you only have to look back in 2009 and the scoreline was 5-5. However, this season has proven to be the opposite, with both teams, especially Lyon, failing to find their feet and all Championship ambitions have now been clearly wiped. Lyon are in 10th position and if points are grabbed in this match up, Olympique Lyonais could climb up a few places if results go their way. Lyon are currently on a three game unbeaten streak, and last week they claimed a vital away result in Corsica against newly promoted side Bastia who conceded their first home loss of the season against the ex Ligue 1 champions. Lyon will also want to represent their UEFA Europa League form in this match; their group stage journey has seen them top the group and progressive to the knockout stages with another impressive away win, this time it was in Portugal against Vitoria Guimareas. Marsielle on the other hand, have recently axed Elie Baup and will be hoping to start again in Ligue 1. After being knocked out the Champions League, Marsielle is in need of something to cheer about.  Three defeats on the bounce has seen the sunshine region slip into 5th position with teams below narrowly behind. Earlier this year, the result was 0-0, Marsielle will be coming out defensive and under new guidance, and I can only see a draw in this match.

Benfica to beat Olhanense 2/9

The triumphant treble sits respectably in the top flight of Portuguese football with Sporting in 1st, Porto in 2nd and Benfica in 3rd.  Top spot is only secured by a two point gap before this weekend, and Benfica are proving to the team to watch with their current five game unbeaten streak which has seen the Lisbon team secure four wins, one being against the Ligue 1 powerful outfit, PSG. Benfica travel to Olhao in hope of securing maximum points, because Olhanense have failed in five attempts to seal the big three points, which has resulted in Olhanense slump to second from bottom in the Portugal Premier League.  Pacos are last only one point behind and above Olhanense are newly promoted side, Arouca on nine points, similar to the Olhao side. Benfica in this encounter should continue their winning formula.
