Red Bull Salzburg to beat Esbjerg 1/3:

Salzburg have been no doubt the team of the tournament in the group stages, the Austrian outfit have played five and won five and I’m sure they will continue to fly with wings after this encounter. When Salzburg travelled to Denmark back on the 3^rd October, the Austrians came out with a fine display and a 2-1 victory. Salzburg are also flying high and have been full of energy in their domestic campaign in the Austrian Bundersliga, Salzburg are top and have recently won their last two league matches, scoring six goals.  Their Danish opponents have also qualified too and they will be in search of ruining the Austrian run of good form. In the Danish Superligan, Esbjerg haven’t boasted the best of form, they have gained two points in their last four league games. Esbjerg could be finding them-selves falling down the Austrian slalom slope.

Standard Liege to beat Elfsborg 8/13:

Both of these teams hold something in common before they meet in Liege for the final Group C encounter, they have both been knocked out the competition and currently only hold one point to boast about. However, Standard Liege do hold an advantage because their domestic league football has been shining. In the Belgium Premier league, the red shirts from Liege are top of the table and are currently unbeaten in four league games. For Elfsborg, the Swedish Premier league ended in early November and their last action was in the Europa League, losing 2-1 against the Austrian giants, Salzburg. Standard Liege will enter this match full of hope of gaining their first win in the Europa League.

Lyon to beat Guimaraes 11/5

Away from their Ligue 1 campaign, Olympique Lyonnais have been on impressive form during their European campaign in Group I and haven’t lost a game in the group yet. Three draws and two wins has seen the French team take control of the group, sitting at the top with nine points, sealing qualification last week. However, a win is needed to guarantee top place with Real Betis only one point away. Lyon will also be forcing an attacking notion, as Real Betis will be facing bottom of table, HNK Rijeka, who have only managed three draws. Their Portuguese opponents are also in a must win situation, if Betis were to lose, Vitoria could claim second position if they were to win by two or more goals.  The team from Guimaraes sit in 7^th position in the Portugal League but goals have been hard to come by. When Lyon hosted Vitoria only a draw was enabled.
