Everton v Crystal Palace Betting Tips

Everton have been in fine form recently, unbeaten in their last four League games and notching 14 goals in the process. The Toffees have managed emphatic wins in their last two games at Goodison against Aston Villa and Sunderland, but the visit of Palace should provide a sterner test to Everton’s rearguard on Monday.

Roberto Martinez’s side find themselves in ninth position in the Premier League, and despite their recent unbeaten run, the three goals they conceded late on to Bournemouth in their last League outing may well have dented their confidence.

Ross Barkley netted deep into injury time to make it 3-2 against Eddie Howe’s side, but Everton’s defence assumed the game was up and promptly allowed Bournemouth to race up the other end to score a crucial equaliser.

However, a midweek win over Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup secured The Toffees’ place in the semi-finals of the competition.

Crystal Palace’s away form has been extremely good this season, and it is in contrast to their rather inconsistent form at Selhurst Park. Pardew has seen his side win 5 out of 7 games on their travels this term, whilst since the 5-1 demolition of Neecastle, they hadn't managed a win in front of their home fans in the previous three.

This mauling of Steve McLaren’s Newcastle side was not wholly unexpected given the Geordies’ absolute shocker of a season (EDIT: Until Yesterday…), but the way that Palace attacked with pace and constantly troubled the Toon defence will have invigorated the side.

Both sides will bring significant confidence into the game, and given both team’s recent high scoring form, we should be in for a tremendously attacking game of football on Monday night.

Belgian beast Romelu Lukaku has scored 6 in his last 5, and I don't think anybody would bet against him finding the net against Palace on Monday night. His confidence is sky high, and scoring for the fifth consecutive League match would bring him closer to Jamie Vardy’s astonishing record of scoring in 11 consecutive League games. I doubt Lukaku will go in to match the record, but I can definetly see him grabbing one against Palace.

I can see the match being extremely open, with a fair few goals, but it's hard to pick a winner between them.
