Two races in a row look the sensible route starting in the 2.05pm when Alan King hopes to prove that BALDER SUCCES (7/2 BetVictor) is as good as he has been telling everyone.  Avoiding Cheltenham may have been a wise move (we will know after the race) as the majority of his rivals today had hard races there, though I admit dropping back to two miles does worry me and I will reduce my bets accordingly.

As for the 2.50pm, I am tempted by ZARKANDER (10/3 BetVictor) who may well be ridden a little closer to the pace this afternoon over this easier three miles than he was at Cheltenham on what was his first attempt at three miles.  Connections are confident he can reverse Cheltenham form with At Fishers Cross though I would have been even happier with eight runners so I could back him each way!
