1.50 York
It looks best to concentrate on the three-year-olds in the opener with MARACUJA (4/1 bet365) the pick. She won with plenty in hand at Ayr last time and can score for an in-form team. Kleo and Carnevale are both respected on their maiden wins.
2.05 Ascot
The Mark Johnston team could be on the mark again with MURAAQABA (9/4 Coral) in the first at Ascot. A recent wide margin Newmarket scorer, the race has worked out well enough. Osaila looks the biggest danger both on a good run at Royal Ascot and a win at Doncaster last time but is more exposed.
2.20 York
DUTCH ROSE (6/1 Betfred) has a formidable C&D record, winning each of her four attempts. She still appears to be progressing and two solid runs in better company show she remains in top form. Alfred Hutchinson so often goes into the notebook as a future winner but rarely delivers, he rates the main danger however.
2.40 Ascot
Very competitive stuff where AMERICAN HOPE (10/1 William Hill) might be able to defy top weight. He was drawn on the wrong side in the Britannia where he led his group home. Moohaarib and Billingsgate head a long list of potential dangers.
2.55 York
Godolphin have a strong hand here with WINDHOEK (10/3 bet365) and Long John. The latter is arguably the more talented but has much more to prove at the trip than the former who won a Listed race in good fashion at Sandown last time. Danadana is talented and would go close on recent season’s form but has a little to prove on what he has done this year.
3.15 Ascot
HORSTED KEYNES (8/1 Ladbrokes) still has the look of a horse a step above the handicapper after a fine second at the Royal meeting. Fast ground suits this son of Giant's Causeway well and he can take this on the way to better things. Ayaar has run well in a couple of recent course handicaps and can go close if not disadvantaged by the draw.
3.30 York
Out Do deserves to get his head in front after a string of consistent placed efforts in similar contests but he may need to settle for a place again. MUTHMIR (11/2 Ladbrokes) looked a sprinter to follow at Newcastle and despite a 6lb rise for finishing second he can confirm that impression.
3.50 Ascot
MAGICIAN (5/2 SkyBet) and Telescope look the pick of the older horses in this year’s King George although the former still has slight stamina doubts over a stiff 1m4f and what the latter actually achieved at Royal Ascot beating a hitherto out of form Hillstar is open for debate. Taghrooda was impressive in the Oaks but that form wasn't exactly given the desired boost in the Irish equivalent. Eagle Top was a ready winner at Royal Ascot but he was beaten previously off just 92 in a Leicester handicap. At the prices marginal preference is for Magician but it's a very tricky race to call.
