Augsburg to draw with Hertha Berlin 5/2:

Two teams that will be hoping to creep into a European Qualification spot come into a clash on Sunday when Augsburg take on the team from the capital, Hertha Berlin at the SGL Arena.  Augsburg were a whisker away from a Europa league spot last season by a three point margin, so their ambition was a clear lay out this season and to try and beat 7th. So far the team from South West Bavaria are finding the task difficult as Augsburg currently sit in 11th position. Three points are being hard to find in the Bundersliga haystack for the red and green shirts as Augsburg have only managed two victories from their last five. Their opponents came 11th last season and during their return last season, Hertha represented some bright spells and these spells will have to be casted more frequently this season, if they wish to gain a higher position. Hertha Berlin have a grand stadium but they will be hoping to gain a points tally that looks good on a grand scale. So far, Hertha are in 14th position and are struggling to find their feet as they have only gained five points from their last five points. With both are these teams looking as if they are stuck in the mud at the moment, only a draw seems likely to separate them. In their last six meetings, only a draw has been the final result between these two teams.

Inter Milan to beat Cagliari 2/5:

Inter Milan are the team to watch at the moment in the Serie A, as the blue side of Milan will be looking to improve on their five game unbeaten run when Cagliari travel to the San Siro. Inter Milan have won three from their last five games. These victories have also represented that the blue and black stripes are a goal machine, with 11 goals been scored at the moment. Last weekend, Inter Milan represented character to come from behind to draw against newly promoted Palermo, and then midweek on Wednesday, Atlanta came under the Inter hammer and were beaten 2-0.  Cagliari will need to work on defending before they travel because the team from Quartu Sant’Elena are rock bottom of the Serie A holding just one point from four games.

Genoa to draw with Sampdoria 11/5:

It’s a Northern Italian derby on Sunday when Genoa host Sampdoria in the evening kick off at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.  Sampdoria are currently the team in form over looking this encounter as they are unbeaten in five games and they sit in an impressive 5th position. Their neighbours who ground share are 8th and are unbeaten in three games. In the past it has been hard to split these teams so a draw could be the best bet in this match up. This tie has also proven to be unpredictable as Sampdoria and Genoa both claimed bragging rights in last season’s clashes

Arouca to beat Academica 13/10:

Arouca become our top pick in Portugal’s premier league on Sunday when the small team in Porto will host third from bottom, Academica. Arouca currently like in an impressive 9th position and have beaten two teams that have proven to be a bother in the Premier league this season. Firstly, Sporting Braga were defeated 1-0 and then when Arouca travelled away a week after, high flying Rio Ave were defeated 2-1. Now Academica will be their opponents and the team from Coimbra are without a win in five games. On their last two trips away from the Estadio EFAPEL, Academica have been defeated by European seeking Maratimo and relegation hot prospects, Boavista. Arouca should play their cards right this season, and if they play their cards right, Arouca could be placed in the European qualifications area for the first time this season.

Bordeaux to beat Rennes 3/4:

Bordeaux were tipped off top spot after their 1-1 draw with St Etienne on Thursday evening, but that result again proved to be a strong one, as Bordeaux are proving to be a great improvement this season. The navy blue shirts currently lie in 2nd position with a two-point bridge with them and Marseille (another major improvement team from last season). Bordeaux are unbeaten in two games and more momentum will be needed if a Marseille take over is on the horizon. Their confidence will be boosted as Rennes seem to be sliding down a slope after losing their last two games 3-0. Most importantly going into this game, Bordeaux hold a upper hand and a fact that will please most of the Les Girondins fans because Rennes haven’t beaten Bordeaux since December 2011
