It's top v bottom in Group G as Lazio take on Rosenborg as the Italians look to extend their lead at the summit. Lazio started their campaign drawing 1-1 at Dnipro before winning 3-2 at home to St Etienne. They're back at Stadio Olimpico here hosting the Norweigan side who are almost done and dusted with their domestic campaign. They lost 1-0 last time out at home to Dnipro, but drew 2-2 with St Etienne the time before. They drew 1-1 at the weekend and although they keep a lot of clean sheets domestically, this is a much more difficult prospect. They've scored in all of their last 3 away games and average over 2 and a half goals per game. Lazio's stats are slightly skewed by the fact they've played fewer home games, but they've scored at least 2 goals in each of their games. 

 

Basel v Belenenses 

Belenenses have been thumped in 2 of their last 4 away games, but that's because they were playing Benfica and Porto. They have shown their defensive frailties. They also conceded twice to Arouca and have now racked up 4 consecutie away games in which they've conceded at least 1 goal. They face the Swiss side here who have scored in all of their last 6 home games and their last 12 overall. They've also conceded in their last 4 home games and their games tend to be end to end high scoring affairs. The Portuguese side will be aiming for their first goal in this years competition and they couldn't ask for a more generous defence in which to face. 75% of Belenenses' games have gone over 2.5 goals, so I'm presuming this will as well. 

 

Legia Warsaw v Club Brugge 

This is a must win for both of these sides! Neither side have accrued a point in the tournament yet, losing their 2 opening group games.Neither Legia nor Brugge can afford to fall further behind here and they'll both fancy their chances here. The Belgian side have so far lost 3-1 and 5-0 and they have also partaken in some high scoring games in the league too. Legia were beaten 2-0 by Napoli last time out, but their last few league games have finished 3-1, 2-2, 1-1 and 1-4. The home side are unbeaten in their last 6 and score over 2 goals a game BUT crucially have conceded a goal in all of their 9 games. 67% of their matches this season have ended with over 2.5 goals and I'm hoping this one can add to that total. 

 

Molde v Celtic 

Molde are surprise leaders of this group and they've started well in this tournament, winning 3-1 away at Fenerbahce before drawing 1-1 with Ajax. Celtic are always terrific entertainment in this competition and their matches tend to be a bit of a rollercoaster. Both of their matches have ended 2-2 so far and this one could follow a similar formula. The Scottish side average over 2 goals per game and have conceded 11 of their 15 goals shipped on the road. Their scores in the road include 2-1, 2-2, 1-2 and 1-3. Both teams have scored in 67% of their away games this season. Their defence looks a little suceptible and Molde are looking to impress new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
