Gary Rowett has only lost twice at home since he took over the reigns at Birmingham and Bristol City won't be the toughest challenge they will face this season. Steve Cotterill's side have had mixed fortunes since running away with League One last season, but they concede too easily and despite the signing of a couple of defender on transfer deadline day, I still think Birmingham will ease past them. 

 

Portsmouth v Barnet – Portsmouth to score over 1.5 goals

Portsmouth are probably responsible for runing accumulators up and down the country in the last couple of weeks with a 0-0 draw against Accrington and a 3-3 draw at Morecambe (they were 3-0 down at one stage) but they should have fewer problems here against Barnet, who are poor on their travels. Martin Allen's side haven't had the best re-introduction into the football league, although they should pick up a few points at home. Their away record reads played 3, lost 3 and they've conceded plenty along the way including 3 to Carlisle last time out. Portsmouth have the attacking weapons to punish Barnet, who will come and play openly. 

 

Newport v Morecambe – Morecambe to score over 1.5 goals

Newport are bottom of the table and struggling. Morecambe are 'fitter than ever' according to striker Tom Barkhuizen and they showed it against second bottom Yeovil last time out. They came back from 2-0 down to win 4-2, having previously put 4 past Notts County and 3 past Portsmouth. They are scoring goals from all over the pitch with Kevin Ellison, Aaron Wildig, Andy Fleming and Barkhuizen himself all chipping with goals in recent weeks. They will surely put 2 past struggling Newport who conceded 3 at home to previously goal shy York last weekend.
