AC Milan v Atalanta – AC Milan win

AC Milan head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic urged his side to start shutting teams out after a number of defensive lapses caused points to be dropped. They’ve responded well with 3 straight wins including a very impressive 3-1 away win at Lazio. They kept their first clean sheet of the season against Chievo so things are definitely looking up for the home side. They beat Sassuolo and drew with Torino leaving them unbeaten at home in 4 games coming into a very winnable match.  Atalanta are poor on their travels, they average less than a goal a game on the road and failed to score in their last 3. They’ve lost 3 consecutive matches away from home against Juventus, Fiorentina and Bologna. They’ve only scored in 2 of their 6 away wins, which is in stark contrast to their superb form on their own patch. The last team they will want to see is AC, who have the 4th best recent form in the league and have started to put a nice little run together.

Caen v Guingamp – Under 2.5 goals

Guingamp were involved in one of the highest scoring matches in Ligue 1 last weekend, but that was at home, they are a completely different prospect on the road. The only goals they’ve conceded in their last 4 away trips were to PSG, which is perfectly excusable given the vast gulf in squad talent and worth. They face Caen, who have kept two clean sheets in their last 3 home games and it could be a match in which defences are on top. They lost 1-0 to Bastia last time out, they don’t score tons of goals and as a result, the Guingamp defence might have a relatively trouble free evening. Caen haven’t been involved in a game that has gone over 2.5 since the 19th Sept and that run might continue here, They average just 1 goal a game, which sounds poor, but they pride themselves on running a tight ship at the back, keeping clean sheets in 50% of their home matches.

Pec Zwolle v Heracles – Over 2.5 goals

Heracles have been a revelation this season and they might pick up more points here on the road against a PEC Zwolle team who have had some disastrous results recently. Losing at home to Utrecht after going one in front was an awful outcome and better has to be expected. Heracles have the 4th best away record in the league and come into this full of confidence. They beat De Graafschap by just a single goal last time out, but that shouldn’t concern you as De Graafschap are the lowest scorers in the league and are yet to register a win. PEC have conceded in 3 consecutive home games whilst scoring in their last 6 and they befit the Eredivisie perfectly with its end to end action and there are always plenty of chances in Zwolle. Heracles are bound to take a few of those chances, they’ve scored in every away game this season and tend to score the first of the match. Zwolle have conceded 7 goals in their last 2 home games and that’s why we are backing the overs here.

Eibar v Getafe – Under 2.5 goals

To say Eibar’s games lack goals is the equivalent of saying London can get quite busy, it’s extremely obvious looking at the stats. They’ve failed to find the target in 3 of their last 4 games and have scored just 38% of their goals here at home. Handily for them though, they concede less than a goal a game and managed to keep a clean sheet last time out. Today’s visitors Getafe have scored just 10% of their goals away from home and only 40% of their games have gone overs. One of those was the 5-0 battering by Sevilla, who have the firepower that Eibar can only dream of. This one is bound to be tight and a single goal could settle it.
