Football Accumulator Tips

Norwich v Arsenal – Over 2.5 goals

Carrow Road is the venue for our first tip in which we think there will be goals. Norwich were involved in some humdingers earlier in the season, but the goals have dried up a little of late. Alex Neil will have spent the last 7 days working out where he can improve his side and there's no doubt they will cause the Gunners some problems. Arsenal kept a clean sheet in midweek, but they conceded twice to West Brom last weekend and there are still frailties at the back. They've been scoring for fun and should have had more than three against Zagreb. They have a superb record on the road and barring last week's blip, they have been scoring plenty in the process. Six of Arsenal's last seven matches have gone over 2.5 goals and I expect this one to follow suit.

Sevilla v Valencia – Over 2.5 goals

Another one which we believe will feature the goals and this time it's from La Liga. Sevilla have gradually improved over the course of the season and they beat Real Madrid in their last game here by three goals to two. The visitors this time are Valenica who have the 5th best form in the league and come here off the back of a 1-1 draw and thumping 5-1 away win at Celta Vigo. 100% of Sevilla's home games have gone over 2.5 goals whilst just 50% of Valencia's have, however, it's all of their last 3 matches on the road which make up that statistic. 14 of Sevilla's goals scored this season have been in front of their own fans whilst Sevilla have scored just 8 goals on their travels, 7 of them being in thier last 3 matches away from home. Five of Valencia's last six matches have gone over three goals whilst five of the last seven for Sevilla have gone the same way.

Westerlo v Oostende – Oostende (+1 Handicap)

Off to Belgium for this one, as Westerlo host Oostende. Westerlo sit bottom of the table, they are far from adrift, they have 12 points and are level with Oud-Heverlee. They haven't won since the 17th October and they're going to find it hard here against a side who have the 6th best away form in the league. Oostende lost their last away match to KV Mechelen, who are a decent outfit at home, so it wasn't a complete disaster, they beat Racing Genk and put three past Oud-Heverlee. They got a point at Gent and Charleroi and Mouscron Peruwelz, all of whom are decent on their own patch. Westerlo's problem has been their defending, shipping 34 goals this season. They've scored 18 goals, which is a respectable total, but keeping them out is a trickier business and Oostende have scored 10 goals in their last 5 matches.

Leverkusen v Schalke – Both Teams to Score? Yes

The Bundesliga can carry plenty of excitement and Leverkusen are one of the more watchable teams in the league. They certainly have been recently with their last four games containing 17 games! The latest of those being a 3-1 win over Frankfurt and they will back scoring in midweek in the Champions League. Not quite as many, but the last four games for Schalke have contained 15 goals and they even scored past Bayern Munich and Ingolstadt, two of the tightest defences in the league. They should find the Leverkusen back four less of a stern test. They've only conceded 17 goals all season, but eight of those have been in the aforementioned last four matches and the home side were also involved in a couple of memorable clashes with Roma in the Champions League, one of which they drew 4-4.

PSV v AZ Alkmaar – Over 2.5 goals

We love the Eredivisie! There are so many goals flowing in this league and there are some hugely memorable matches. PSV won the title last year, but they are slightly off the pace this season and that's largely because of their failure to see off teams ranked lower than them. Their 2-2 draw with Willem II was the perfect illustration of this last weekend. They also conceded 3 goals to bottom club De Graafschap and put 6 past them in reply. AZ are far from goal shy themselves, scoring 3 last week against Herenveen and they were involved in a 2-4 home loss to NEC. PSV have plenty of firepower, but often come unstuck at the back and with AZ one of the better teams in the league, they will surely find the back of the net during the 90 minutes. This should be a terrific game and it should have plenty of goals along the way.
