Football Accumulator Tips

Saint Etienne v Angers – Angers (+1) Handicap

Angers sit 2nd in the table and have been one of the surprise packages of this year's Ligue 1 campaign. They recently held PSG to a 0-0 draw and have been conceding very few of late. They kept Lyon out as well as Lille and Caen. They face Saint Etienne here, who are a little out of form. They were flying high earlier in the season and although they never looked like catching PSG, a possible European spot was once again in the offing. But they've only won one of their last six and that was against an out of form Guingamp. They lost here to Marseille and could only draw with Rennes. They also lost to Monaco and low scoring Lille. They are decent at home, but the handicap should cover this one. Angers are unbeaten in their last five matches and have a habit of grinding out a draw if they're struggling. They have a decent defence that has only conceded six times on the road all season.

Malaga v Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid to win

A short one, but with their recent form, I'd find it hard to back against Atletico. They are superbly well organised, they attack any crosses and stop chances being created at source. Diego Simeone's side have only lost twice all season and both of those were before September. They lost to Barcelona and Villareal – who have a superb record at home. They've only failed to win four times all season and this is the perfect chance to extend that run. They've kept clean sheets in all but two of their away matches this season and you'd have to fancy another shutout here. Malaga have only won twice at home all season against Real Sociedad and Deportivo, although this is a step up. This would be a 6th Atletico win in a row and I would back them to do just that against an inconsistent Malaga side.

Heerenveen v ADO Den Haag – Heerenveen to win

Heerenveen have been very decent at home this season, only losing once to Feyenoord. There's no shame in that result at all as Feyenoord were in the middle of their terrific run at the time. They held PSV to a 1-1 draw here as well very early on in the campaign and have won all of their last three games in front of their own fans. They've kept a clean sheet in three of their last five home matches, with one of the exception being the aforementioned game against Feyenoord. They've scored a goal in each of their last eight matches whilst ADO Den Haag have found the net in each of their last 11 games. BTTS is a little short, so I'd prefer to take the home win. ADO Den Haag have won only twice away from home with one of those being over out of form AZ recently. They've lost to NEC, Ajax, PEC Zwolle and Groningen, all of whom are decent at home. I fancy Heerenveen to come out on top here.

Oostende v Standard Liege – Both Teams to Score? Yes

Over to Belgium for this match between the in-form Standard Liege and decent home proposition Oostende. Liege have only lost once in the last eight games and they are putting the poor early season form behind them. Oostende were going well, particularly here, but they came unstuck against St Truiden here last time, losing 2-1. Oostende have only failed to score twice all season, one of those was against the notoriously thrifty Club Brugge. They scored against one of the best defences in the league last week when they drew 1-1 with Anderlecht. Standard Liege have only failed to score three times all season and although they've kept two consecutive clean sheets, they haven't been great defensively. Oostende have scored one goal in each of their last eight games and have netted 18 times at home. There should be goals in this one.
