Wigan v Burton – Wigan win

Wigan have been in terrific form recently and they should have had more than just a single goal against Shrewsbury at the weekend. Yanic Wildschut, on loan from Middlesbrough is proving a real handful for League One defences and he might not score often enough, but he has pace and an eye for a pass. Alex Revell scores this level and they have a hard working midfield. They've kept 4 clean sheets in their last 6 including all of their last 3 matches and face a Burton side who are making a good fist of life in League One, but have just dropped off recently, particularly away from home. Wigan haven't lost since the 12th September whilst Burton have lost 3 of their last 4 on the road. The one win in that sequence was a 1-0 victory at Oldham. They've lost to Walsall, Bury and Fleetwood however and this game is equally as tough. The Latics are looking good under Gary Caldwell and have scored in all but one of their matches since the 3rd October. I fancy them to take all 3 points here.

Peterborough v Barnsley – Over 2.5 goals

Peterborough have been scoring for fun under Graham Westley and they hit 5 past Crewe on Saturday. Ehrun Oztumer is really finding his feet and the diminutive Turkish midfielder has become a creative hub in the middle of the park. He set up a number of strikes at the weekend and with the likes of Jon Taylor and Jermaine Anderson capable of converting, they are bound to get on the scoresheet here. Lee Johnson stopped the rot against his former club Oldham at the weekend and prevented the Tykes setting an unwanted record. Despite only getting their first win since the 26th of September, there have been signs of a possible revival as they have scored in all of their last 3 games including hitting 3 against Coventry and still managing to lose the match! Peterborough have scored in every game since their opening day defeat to Rochdale back in August. Barnsley have kept just 3 clean sheets all season, none of them have been away from home. This game screams goals.

Swindon v Walsall – Walsall win

Sticking with League One, we head to the County Ground as out of form Swindon host away specialists Walsall. Martin Ling hasn't got off to the best of starts, but he will require time to settle in and assess his squad. Swindon's team was torn apart during the summer as a number of key players were sold and it's been a tough rebuild which saw Mark Cooper lose his job. They won't fancy facing Walsall who are having a sensational season under Dean Smith. The Saddlers always exceed expectations and have built a good young squad. They have stopped conceding goals with just 15 conceded all season in 17 league games. Swindon have shipped more than double tjhat amount. They got hit for 5 at the weekend by lowly Fleetwood and will find it difficult to keep Tom Bradshaw, Rico Henry and Romain Sawyers out. Walsall have won 5 times on the road and drawn the other 3. They hit 4 past Colchester on their travels recently and have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 4 away trips.

AFC Wimbledon v Dagenham – Wimbledon win

AFC Wimbledon are having a purple patch, they are unbeaten in their last 5 with 4 victories in their last 8. They are scoring goals and although they left it late to equalise against Wycombe at the weekend, they are back at home here and this is an easier examination. Just one win for the Daggers this season, a surprising 2-1 victory over Northampton and despite progressing to the next round of the FA Cup, they can't buy 3 points in the league. They've failed to score in their last 2 games and in 3 of their last 5. Just 1 clean sheet all season came at home to Newport and they look fragile at the back despite the experience of Nyron Nosworthy. AFC Wimbledon have scored in every home game this season since the opening day of the season and they have plenty of firepower. Lyle Taylor has 4 goals in his last 5 games and will find the Dagenham defence quite accommodating.

Accrington v Hartlepool – Over 2.5 goals

It's been a terrific season for Accrington so far, John Coleman has his underdogs firing and they sit 4th in the table. All those pundits who tippeed them for relegation have a portion of egg on their face. They are scoring plenty of goals including 12 goals in their last 5 matches. They came back to beat Cambridge 3-2 at the weekend with Josh Windass scoring from the spot yet again. They've only failed to score 3 times this season, one of those was all the way back on the 2nd day of the season at Morecambe. They do also concede plenty and shipping 9 goals in those same 5 games shows they have defensive problems which they need to work on. They meet Hartlepool at the Wham Stadium and it could be a high scoring affair. 3 of the North Easterners last 4 games gave gone over 2.5 goals with their 3-1 defeat to Mansfield being the latest. They've scored in 7 of their last 8 matches and against an Accrington defence that has only kept 1 clean sheet sinced the middle of September, they could get on the scoresheet again. Jake Gray is a tricky customer on loan from Palace and he will be Hartlepool's main threat.
