FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: The Paul Nicholls camp took this race 12 months ago so anything they run is respected, but Nicholls’ former boss Dan Skelton could have the answers here with THREE MUSKETEERS (Bet here at 3/1 with William Hill). This 6 year-old was a good winner last time out at Newbury in a Grade Two Chase and if running to that level of form again would be hard to beat. He won by an easy 4 ½ lengths that day, with some fair sorts in-behind too. The soft ground is fine and there is no obvious reason this lightly-raced sort shouldn’t cope with Cheltenham.

7/13 – Came from the top 3 in the betting
3/13 – Winning favourites
2/13 – Won by the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard
1/13 – Went onto win the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival
The average winning SP in the last 9 runnings is 15/2

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: The Nigel Twiston-Davies yard have won the last two renewals of this contest so anything they send to post should be respected. However, the Tom George team are another that have targeted this race with success in recent years – winning it in 2011. So with that in-mind his A GOOD SKIN (e/w) (Bet here at 4/1 with William Hill), who gets in here with just 10-2 catches the eye. This horse is a past course winner so we know the track suits, looks to be coming to the boil after a solid third at Wincanton last time out. Of the rest, Thomas Crapper likes it here at the track so is respected, while recent winner Seventh Sky is another that is sure to be popular after his recent Haydock victory.

2.30 – BetBright Casino Handicap Hurdle Cl2 3m CH4

7/12 – Ran at Cheltenham last time out
5/12 – French bred
5/12 – Had won over at least 3m (hurdles) before
4/12 – Had won over hurdles at Cheltenham before
2/12 – Won by the Pipe stable
2/12 – Won last time out
1/12 – Won by a mare
1/12 – Went onto win the World Hurdle later that season (Big Buck’s, 2009)
1/12 – Winning favourites
The average winning SP in the last 8 runnings is 9/1

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: Looking at the key trends then it might pay to note that 4 of the last 5 winners of this race were aged 7 years-old, but we are going to side with a 6 year-old in RONS DREAM (Bet here at 13/2 with William Hill). This horse hails from the Peter Bowen team, who won this race 12 months ago so it’s interesting they are targeting this contest again. The horse is a course winner and heads here in decent order after a win and second from his last two outings – conditions will suit this mare too. Of the rest, the 13 year-old Knockara Beau is a past CD winner at the track so that’s a plus, while So Fine was a good winner last time out and is another that boasts CD-winning form.

3.05 – Dornan Engineering Hurdle Cl2 2m4f110y CH4

10/11 – Went on run in a race at the Cheltenham Festival (no winners)
10/11 – Won by either a French (3) or Irish (7) bred

9/11 – Had raced within the last 6 weeks
9/11 – Had won at least 4 times over hurdles before
8/11 – Came from the top 3 in the betting
8/11 – Had won at Cheltenham before
8/11 – Had won over at least 2m4f (hurdles) before
6/11 – Went onto run in the World Hurdle later that season
6/11 – Raced at Cheltenham last time out
5/11 – Won last time out
5/11 – Winning favourites
4/11 – Trained by Nicky Henderson
4/11 – Ridden by Barry Geraghty
2/11 – Trained by the Pipe stable
The average winning SP in the last 8 runnings is 9/4

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: A nice race to look forward to here and with the Nicky Henderson horses starting to hit the boil then his WHISPER (Bet here at SP with Bet365) catches the eye. Yes, he was slightly disappointing last time out at Newbury when last of 5 in the Long Distance Hurdle, but that was his first run back for over 7 months and can be expected to be a lot better for the outing. He’s a past course winner and was a solid fifth in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at the track back in March, while it’s interesting that connections are dropping him back in trip to 2m4f.
