Friday’s Each-Way Accumulator For Racing At Newmarket

Each-way accumulator betting tips for the horse racing action at Newmarket on Friday.

Today's accumulator tip comes from Newmarket and Day 2 of the Cambridgeshire meeting with the card headed by two Group 2 races – the Rockfel Stakes and the Joel Stakes.

2.40 Newmarket

We start with the seven furlong Group 2 Rokfel Stakes for 2yo fillies and Irish raider LUCIDA (6/4 Coral) who should take all the beating.  This Jim Bolger trained Shamardal filly has posted two exceptional pieces of form when finishing second in both the Group 2 Debutante Stakes and then in the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes both at the Curragh.  The form shown in those two runs is clearly the best on offer in this field and, simply the fact that Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning have travelled over warrants respect.  New Providence and Calypso Beat look to be the biggest dangers on form but the selection should be more than able to see off her rivals.

3.15 Newmarket

The second selection in our accumulator tip runs in the Joel Stakes which has attracted a solid field of Group performers and this year’s renewal looks to be a high class renewal.  The likes of Captain Cat, Custom Cut, Outstrip and Wannabe Yours all have a strong level of form but I think it is finally the time for AROD (10/1 Coral) to step-up and show his true class.  This Teofilo colt has been running creditably in a much better races and was not disgraced in either the Derby or the Juddmonte International.   This looks to be an easier assignment for this horse and, although his rivals will provide a stern test, Arod has mixed it with the best horses around and his weight for age allowance should certainly aid his task.  Question makes exist over whether or not the 1m trip will be on the sharp side but, providing he isn't beaten for speed and outpaced, he should run a solid race.

3.45 Newmarket

Finally, we have the Godolphin Stakes over 1m4f and fresh from running a big race in the final Classic of the season, this looks a solid opportunity for WINDSHEAR (6/4 William Hill) to get back to winning ways.  On previous pieces form, this looks to be a very tight race with the likes of Harris Tweed, Nabucco and Penglai Pavilion solid Listed and Group performers in their prime.  However, of late the latter named rivals have performed well below par and, unless they can return to their best, this should be a pretty straightforward task for Windshear.  Richard Hannon’s runner  is a very consistent type who should relish the drop back into Listed company after finishing fourth in the St. Leger.
