Georgia v Scotland Betting Tips and Predictions Euro 2016

Georgia v Scotland kicks off at 5pm in the Euro 2016 qualifying rounds and our football tipster has picked out two free football betting tips for this clash. 

 

The Tartan Army visit Tbilisi for an early evening kick off in Georgia. Currently sitting 3rd in Euro 2016 qualifying Group D, they will be hoping to make ground on Poland & Germany.

Georgia v Scotland Betting Tips:

 

Scotland have only lost twice since September 2013, once to England in a friendly and the other to Germany right here in Group D. 

It's a hugely impressive record and Gordon Strachan has shaped his side so that they are hard to beat and stubborn to break down. They can also be clinical in front of goal, although like any manager in world football, Strachan will always want to get more goals out of his side. 

By comparison, Georgia have lost 4 of their last 5 games, but they are not to be taken lightly at home. They beat the Scots 2-0 here in Tblisi back in 2007. Although things have changed for both these sides since then, Scotland can ill afford a repeat of that scoreline here as they will lose valuable ground on leaders Germany and 2nd place Poland, who meet later on that evening. 

 

Scotland go on to play Germany on Monday back at Hampden Park and although they are not expected to win that match, they will want their confidence to be high and their tails to be up going into their most difficult group game. 

 

Georgia v Scotland is the sort of game where you expect ridiculously short prices, but taking into account that defeat in 2007 and the fact they are on the road, Scotland are decent value in this Euro 2016 quaifier. Going off their recent record in all competitions, I'd back the Scots at the prices.

It may seem like a baffling choice, but very few would have backed the Both Teams to Score market when Scotland met Gibraltar earlier in the competition. 

Georgia don't score huge swathes of goals by any stretch of the imagination, but at home, they could sneak one and looking at the prices, it could be worth taking a chance on them to find the back of the net, as they did (twice) in 2007.
