Horse Racing Betting Tips – 3.20pm Tatterrsall’s Gold Cup At The Curragh
Horse racing betting tips for the 3.20pm Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on Sunday.
One of the first big Group 1 races over the classic distances is the Tattersalls Gold Cup over 1m2f 110yds for horses 4yo+. This race has an absolutely fantastic history littered with Derby winners, Gold Cup winners and plenty more.

Jim Bolger is double handed in this race with Einsteins Folly (66/1 bet365) and PARISH HALL (16/1 SkyBet). The former is only rated 99 and may well find tough to really make an impact but the latter looks to offer some value. As a Group 1 winner, Parish Hall finished only a neck behind the market favourite Magician at the Curragh and it wouldn’t surprise me if he were to run another big race.
Cardinal Palace (100/1 Betfred) and Euphrasia (66/1 Coral) will be un-fancied and have a huge amount to make up on ratings. Another with questions to answer is Along Came Casey (14/1 Ladbrokes) who did beat a couple of good horses when taking a Listed race at Gowran but disappointed at the Curragh after that and will probably need the run too.
Hall Of Mirrors (25/1 William Hill) ran well last time out but was well behind Magician (4/5 William Hill), a horse who should improve for his win at the Curragh last time out and a run anywhere near the standard of his Breeders Cup Turf win would be good enough to claim this prize. The race could well be a match and the form of Noble Mission (2/1 Coral) has been of the highest quality, beating some decent horses by good margins.

It seems like a tough match between Noble Mission and Magician with most people more than likely to back the home runner Magician but there could be a bit of a shock with PARISH HALL. If you look at the bare statistics, he is a Group 1 winner, a C&D winner, can go on any ground and was only a neck behind Magician last time out. If there are no defectors and the race pays three places then an each-way bet on Parish Hall looks good value as he is a fair way better than the others barring the top two.
