Sandown 2.40 Tip – Fruity

This is a considerable drop in class for Clive Cox's filly as well as being back against her own sex. 83 looks a workable mark for this unexposed type although a mile is probably as far as she would want to go on pedigree, Cox wouldn't be trying if he didn't expect her to stay though.

York 3.40 – Rex Imperator

Rex Imperator looked a shade unlucky last time at Thirsk when stepped back up to this trip in returning headgear. This time last year he lined up in the King's Stand when rated 110, now almost two stone below that mark he looks as if he is about to run back into form.

Sandown 3.50 – Field Of Fame

Andrew Balding's gelding will be happy not to see the backside of Marhoob in here. A drop of a pound in the weights since a fifth in a better York handicap will help as will the return to a stiffer test at ten furlongs.

Sandown 4.55 – Commodore

Commodore went in the notebook at Doncaster earlier in the season when finding trouble over slightly shorter. He ran as well as could be expected from five pounds out the weights in a better Goodwood race last time. The fifth that day was runner up in a Listed race at Epsom on Oaks day so the form looks rock solid at this level.
