2.50 Newbury

Trainer Richard Hannon rarely lowers his string to run a horse in a claimer but that is exactly the case with LANGAVAT (6/4 Ladbrokes) who is clearly not the best three-year-old in the yard!  Nonetheless, he’s entered here under a decent weight and, on all known form, he ought to win – although at this low class all things are possible!

3.55 Newbury

Sticking with the same yard and DANGEROUS MOONLITE (7/2 Betfred) looks as though she may have just had an off day when well beaten at Royal Ascot in the Queen Mary Stakes having won both before and after in her only other starts to date.  She bolted up by close to four lengths when last seen at Windsor in a three horse race and put up a pretty impressive time considering the tactical nature of that event.  She made all and kept out of trouble that day and those tactics could prove to be fruitful here once again. 

8.05 Newmarket

The final leg of today’s accumulator centres around my best bet of the day with FELWAH (3/1 Coral).  I’m hoping that this filly is a bit better than a handicapper and word from the Haggas yard suggests they are confident that she is.  After the standard educational debut when fifth at Goodwood, she quickly rattled up two consecutive wins over seven furlongs at Lingfield and Leicester before failing to see out the mile at Ascot.  She has been rested after that effort and should appreciate the drop back to her favourite trip this evening.
