3.45 Ascot – Shared Equity

Slightly unlucky on his return when third at Doncaster, not getting the clearest run having travelled beautifully well through the contest. The forecast showers will help, he is still pretty unexposed and the claim of the excellent Joe Doyle can only help.

4.00 Haydock – Penitent

The rain has come in time for this C&D winner who despite the age of nine is still well capable of showing his form at this Listed level. It's a tight race on official ratings but doubts about the ground and distance for a couple of them makes Penitent look a solid bet.
