Horse racing accumulator betting tips covering the best of the racing in Ireland on Sunday.
We have a solid days racing from across the Irish Sea, with the best of the racing coming from Limerick and the Curragh.
Starting with a competitive four-year-old hurdle, GUITAR PETE (6/4 Betfred) looks the pick. Dessie Hughes’ gelding had a fantastic campaign last season, finishing third in the Triumph Hurdle, before romping home in a Grade 1 at Aintree under a superb Paul Carberry ride. It’s interesting that Bryan Cooper takes the reigns despite his retained owner Gigginstown House Stud having two runners, and comments early this week suggest they want him to get a victory after he broke his leg at Cheltenham.
This Listed contest over six furlongs sees expert spring trainer Eddie Lynam run GATHERING POWER (7/1 Betfred). This four-year-old clinched a decent contest at Naas, before going close in behind Joyuese at Haydock. Despite having been off the track a for a while, the selection clearly goes well fresh, and on slightly easier ground I think he can claim this prize. Lynam also runs Viztoria who, despite having run well in top class races, could be slightly outpaced in this race.
This contest over 1m4f looks set up for the in-form TARANA (4/1 bet365) to take the spoils. John Oxx’s charge has been in good form all season and is yet to finish outside of the top four. She romped home in a similar contest two starts ago and was unlucky not to follow that effort up at Listowel when giving away a lot of weight. She is kindly weighted thanks to her fillies’ allowance, and a return to her best form should see her comfortably win. Aidan O’Brien saddles Blue Hussar who has raced in some good contests and looks the biggest danger on pedigree.
