Juventus v Barcelona Predictions and Betting Tips – UCL Final 2015

Juventus v Barcelona betting tips and predictions for the 2015 Champions League final in Berlin from our football tipster.

As the curtain falls on the 2014/15 season, there is one final matter that needs settling as Barcelona face off against Juventus in the Champions League final.

Juventus v Barcelona Predictions:

It's safe to say that Barcelona thoroughly deserve to be in the final after a terrific campaign in which they were rarely put under any kind of pressure. As per usual, their group stage progression never really looked in any doubt, but it was the consummate ease in which they disposed of all their opponents in the knockout phase that has really caught the eye.

Premier League champions Manchester City were totally outclassed in the round of 16, and but for Joe Hart, would have lost by far more than the flattering 3-1 aggregate defeat would suggest. Both PSG and Bayern Munich followed suit as Barcelona ran out 3-1 and 3-0 winners in the first leg on both occasions, leaving the second leg as a mere formality.

In contrast to their opponents, Juventus' run to the final has been a hard-fought affair. The Old Lady stumbled through the group stage after being given a real scare by Greek champions Olympiakos. Although their 5-1 aggregate win in the last 16 over Dortmund looks fairly emphatic, the narrow one goal wins over Monaco and Real Madrid were far from it.

Unlike their opponents, Juve's excellent run has been based on a bedrock of fine defending in which the Bianconeri have conceded only seven goals all competition. They have, however, been far from prolific at the other end of the pitch, and have only 16 goals to their name all competition – and as previously mentioned – five of those came against Dortmund.

Juventus v Barcelona predictions

Based on Barcelona’s recent form it's going to to be very difficult to suggest anything other than a win for the Catalan giants in our Juventus v Barcelona predictions. The key for Juve will be to keep a clean sheet for as long as possible and hope to nick a goal or two. The Italians certainly have the firepower to cause the Spanish champions some problems, but shutting them out will be a totally different kettle of fish. With the recent news that defensive lynchpin Giorgio Chiellini will now miss out on Saturday's clash, it really doesn't bode well for much of an upset.

With odds of 8/13 not particularly appealing for our football betting tips, have a punt on the match to be drawn at half-time and Barcelona to be winning at full-time at 7/2 with Betfred. Nine of Juventus' twelve Champions League matches have been level at the break, and even without Chiellini, they should prove a tough nut to crack.

Our first Juventus v Barcelona prediction is for a draw at half-time and Barcelona to win at full-time, the best odds are 7/2 with Betfred.

Heading over to the goalscoring market and as the final falls under Betfred's DD/HH offer, it's certainly worth a look at some Champions League final first scorersAlthough Messi is reasonably priced, Neymar's odds of 9/2 could reach well into double figures if the Barcelona forward has a field day. The Brazilian has 38 goals to his name this season and has scored multiple times in eight of his matches this year, as well as this, he's scored the first goal more times than any other player in the Barcelona team.

Our second Juventus v Barcelona betting tip is for Neymar to score first, take the 9/2 with Betfred.

Finally, we'll stay in the goalscoring markets and it's impossible to consider betting on the Champions League final without backing Lionel Messi. Sky Bet offer an interesting market in which you can back a player to score from outside the box. Messi's never been shy of a pop or two from 25 yards, so at 6/1, back him to score from outside the area.

Our third Juventus v Barcelona prediction is for Lionel Messi to score from outside the area, the odds are 6/1 with Sky Bet.
