League One and Two Play-Off Betting Tips For This Weekend

The Play-Offs get underway in League One and Two this weekend and we have some free football betting tips.

League One

Peterborough v Leyton Orient 12:15PM Saturday May 10^th

The early game on Saturday sees Orient who finished 3^rd take on Peterborough who finished 6^th. Peterborough come in to the Play-Offs in decent form, losing just one of their last six and are unbeaten in their last five at home with four victories. Leyton Orient won their last two matches up until the end of the season and did have a good season to finish third.

As a lot of Play-Off matches are, this one is a tough one to call but both of these sides have seen plenty of goals of late at both ends, with these being the 4^th and 5^th highest scorers in the League. Both teams to score AND over 2.5 goals is 6/5 with Bet365 and this looks good to me. This has happened in four of Orient’s last five and their last two away from home while it happened in two of Orient’s last three, a 0-0 draw on the final day an exception.

Preston v Rotherham 17:15 Saturday May 10^th.

The other League One Play-Off is very interesting with two sides who finished the season in fantastic form playing each other. Preston lost just two of their final eight matches, winning five while Rotherham lost just three matches in the whole of 2014.

Preston’s home form is really good at present, winning five on the spin while Rotherham have lost two of their last three away from home. Also considering Preston’s last three home victories and four of their last five have seen both teams score and that Rotherham have only failed to score in two of their last eleven away, get on Preston to win and both teams to score at 10/3 with Bet365.

League 2

York v Fleetwood 19:30 Saturday 10^th May 8

The League 2 Play-Offs also get underway on Saturday with York v Fleetwood. York came from nowhere to finish 7^th in League 2 with an incredible 17 match unbeaten run. This includes nine on the spin unbeaten at home so they will be a real challenge on a Fleetwood side who were favorites for promotion back at the start of the season. Final day defeat for Fleetwood ended a 7 match unbeaten run for them but they have won just three of their last ten away.

All eight of York’s last victories have been 1-0 or 2-0, they are certainly a side who like to keep it tight and may do so again here. York to win and under 2.5 goals is a massive 15/4 with Bet365 and with Fleetwood slipping up a bit of late and York so good at the back, conceding just four in their previous sixteen matches and just two in nine at home, this looks too good a price to turn down.

Burton v Southend 12:00PM Sunday 11^th May

Before all the Premier League drama on Sunday you can settle down with some League 2 Play-Off action. These two sides finished level on points in the League so this should make for an interesting clash. Burton ended their league campaign with back to back defeats but their recent home defeat to already promoted Chesterfield ended a 7 game unbeaten run at home. Southend ended the season losing just one of their final eleven matches and are unbeaten in their last five away from home, drawing three though.

Southend won both of the matchups between these two in the League 1-0 so it should be tight again. However, they perhaps have the edge on Burton for me, they are 23/20 DNB to win this match and looks the best bet for this one.
