Seventh-placed Liverpool’s season is pretty-much over and it can be summarised as a solid rather than a spectacular one under Brendan Rodgers.  That said, The Reds will approach this game with nothing but victory in mind, and will take plenty of confidence from a decent run that has seen them lose only two of their last eleven league matches.

Looking closely at those recent meetings, Liverpool have won four and drawn one of their last five league matches against Chelsea.  This season’s reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge ended 1-1 and I would not be surprised to see the points shared again this time.  Two third’s of Liverpool’s league fixture this season have gone over 2.5 goals and I would fancy that outcome in this match too.  Finally a small bet on the 2-2 correct score looks worth chancing.
