Lucky 15 horse racing betting tip for the racing action this Saturday.
Racing fans are set for a great day on Saturday with top quality action from a number of tracks across the UK, culminating in the the Group 1 Coral Eclipse over 1m2f at Sandown. Here is a Lucky 15 betting tip with selections from Haydock and Sandown to get involved with.
The first leg of our Lucky 15 betting tip comes in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks over a shortened 1m4f. Seal Of Approval is fancied after a good run in the Yorkshire Cup and Sultanina may have plenty more to give after a classy win in the Pinnacle Stakes. Nonethless, TALENT (5/1 bet365) should be the one to beat. Although she will have to turn last season Group 1 Ascot form around with Seal Of Approval, this is drastically different ground and the Oaks winner and St Leger runner-up should be given another chance to prove she is still a high class horse.
Moving on to the Coral Distaff, Queen Catrine heads the field on official ratings and was an impressive runner-up in the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot. Veiled Intrigue is also fancied after a second place finish in a Group 3 contest at Lingfield on her latest start, however the form of the race is questionable. Both of those horses will need to improve to take on RADIATOR (7/2 Coral), who she was unlucky on her seasonal reappearance at York and ran well at Royal Ascot. Despite finishing eighth that day she only lost by three lengths and finished ahead of multiple group winners and the 1000 Guineas runner-up Lightning Thunder. This contest looks nowhere near as strong and she should claim this prize.
The day’s feature race is the Coral Eclipse and this year’s renewal looks to be a high class contest. Kingston Hill’s performance in the Derby is enough for me to believe he is the best of the 3yo’s despite Night Of Thunder’s run behind Kingman in the St James’s Palace Stakes. Rain is forecast prior to racing and depending on how heavy the downpour will affect this horses’ chances. The Fugue is the highest rated in the field and clearly a class act on her day but she looks short enough in the betting. With that in mind, the third selection in our Lucky 15 tip is VERRAZANO (13/2 SkyBet). The American import has settled in well at Ballydoyle and has already finished in the places of two Group 1 contest. If he manages to see out the trip he should have strong claims and I expect a good run with Ryan Moore on board.
The final leg comes in the Coral Marathon over 2m at Sandown. Admittedly it doesn’t look the greatest renewal but two catch my eye in Whiplash Willie and Earth Amber. Whiplash Willie ran a huge race when finishing third in the Henry II Stakes over C&D and a repeat of that run should be enough here. EARTH AMBER (4/1 bet365) however, ran a monster race at Ascot when second behind Tac De Boistron and finished ahead of some top class horses that day. That form should be strong enough and on a line through Further Flight, she has the beating of Whiplash Willie so she should have the upper-hand.
