Channel 4 covers top class racing on Saturday with eight races coming from two venues. York hosts a good card whilst the feature race, the Group 1 King George VI, is at Ascot.

1.50 York

The first leg of our Lucky 15 betting tip centres around a fillies’ handicap over 1m2f. There is a lot of focus on the 3yo’s at the head of the betting and our pick of those is CARNEVALE (11/4 Ladbrokes). Ralph Beckett is well known at excelling with young improving fillies and this daughter of New Approach looks a similar type. She was staying on well last time out at Leicester and should enjoy today's conditions. Kleo and Maracuja are both well fancied and look to be the biggest dangers.

2.05 Ascot

Moving on to Ascot and the second selection comes in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes over 6f for fillies. Eight runners line up in what looks an intriguing race with MURAAQABA (9/4 SkyBet) fancied to claim the victory. She won what is looking like a decent maiden in fine style on debut and she could well continue to progress up the ranks with her first win in Pattern company. Explosive Lady was another that shined on debut and Osaila could be interesting but Mark Johnston’s runner could well have their measure.

2.55 York

Back at York with the Skybet York Stakes where the betting is headed by Danadana. This six-year-old horse has been slightly disappointing since wining a Group 3 at Chester last year class and looks a vulnerable favourite. One who could mount a strong challenge is SECRET GESTURE (11/2 Coral) who returned to form after finishing second in the Middleton over C&D before winning a Listed race last time out and looks a worthy selection.

3.50 Ascot

The final leg of our Lucky 15 comes in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot. Taghrooda is rapidly gaining a formidable reputation after running away with the Oaks and is touted to go close along with Eagle Top and Magician. Despite the class in depth of the race, TELESCOPE (5/2 Betfred) looks to be a worthy favourite after justifying the hype when destroying a class field over course and distance at Royal Ascot. A repeat of that form will see him go close and, given his ideal conditions, there is good chance of another impressive performance.
