League leaders Manchester City will be looking to improve on a couple of disappointing results in recent weeks as they take on an improving Liverpool side at The Etihad on Saturday evening. Manuel Pellegrini's men have drawn two of their last three matches 0-0, with an unconvincing 2-1 victory over Norwich sandwiched between those two stalemates.

However, City will be buoyed at the prospect of injured trio David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany all being available for the clash against The Reds. Aguero has sat out the last few weeks with a hamstring tear, though, and Pellegrini will certainly be wary of rushing his star striker back so soon due to the nature of the injury.

Liverpool also head into the match off the back of a disappointing result at home to Crystal Palace. New manager Jurgen Klopp was previously unbeaten in his last six, but Palace took full advantage of a sluggish start from their hosts, and despite riding their luck on occasions, snatched a winner in the last ten minutes. For Liverpool, this was the forth match in a row they had failed to win directly after a Europa League tie.

Nevertheless, Klopp will be delighted that Daniel Sturridge is finally fit and ready to lead the line for The Reds. However, such is the fragility with the former Manchester City man, it remains to be seen whether Sturridge will start the match or make a late cameo from the bench.

This is quite a tough result to call as so much hinges on the key players that may, or may not make the starting lineup. If both teams are at full-strength then I expect City to come out on top, but with so much uncertainty surrounding the likes of Aguero, Silva and Kompany, I'm edging towards the draw.
