14.30 – Able Friend.

The Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes kicks us off and it looks an extremely competitive affair. Night Of Thunder leads the British charge after winning the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury last month, however, his class looks a tad short for this. Solow was impressive in Dubai and at Longchamp last time out when dispatching Cirrus Des Aigles, but, I like Hong Kong raider Able Friend. John Moor'e s charge has an electric turn of foot and although he's never encountered a straight mile, should prove too much.

15.05 – Round Two.

The Coventry Stakes is a classy race for two-year-old's and the Jim Boldger-trained Round Two can prevail. He looked superb on debut at Naas over six furlongs beating Argentero who has since went and landed a Listed race with minimal fuss. The son of Zoffany then dropped back to five furlongs in a Listed race at the Curragh and impressed even more when beating the Aidan O'Brien-trained Washing Dc, who is well fancied for the Windsor Castle Stakes later in the day.

15.40 – Mecca’s Angel.

All eyes will be on Sole Power to win a third successive King's Stand, however, this looks a strong renewal of the race and he offers little value. Mecca's Angel is the one to side with in this contest and seems to progress as each race passes. He made his seasonal reappearance at Longchamp over four furlongs and dispatched the a solid field which included former Temple Stakes winner Hot Streak. He had enough speed to win over four and looked a class act when romping to victory in the Group 3 World Trophy at the end of last term over five furlongs and is well worth an each-way bet.

17.35 – Ruby Notion.

Wesley Ward won this race last year with Hootenanny and he saddles Ruby Notion who can give the American trainer a second successive victory. He looked a class act winning a maiden at Churchill Downs last month showing an electric turn of foot and should be well suited to the quick ground at Ascot.
