Saturday Lucky 15 Betting Tip

1:50 Doncaster – MAGISTRAL 8/1

This looks like a competitive handicap but holes can be picked in the form of many of these. At the top of the weights Tariq Too has struggled to win off higher than 91, Chosen Character hasn't won for a while and this race will be too tough for them. Levitate has a chance, won the Lincoln here at the beginning of the year but has been on the go for a while this year and might need to be dropped a few pounds and up in distance to win here but should go close. Out of the rest the only dangers for me would be last year's winner Tartiflette and Rhamnus for Richard Hannon but for me MAGISTRAL sticks out. Constantly improving and showed it could handle the soft ground at Nottingham last time when 2nd ahead of a horse I really rate in Tinghir and also ahead of a few of these here. Buick gets on board for the first time and I just think MAGISTRAL is up against a lot of exposed horses here and is a massive potential improver.

2:25 Doncaster – HIGHLAND COLORI 6/1

Another tough race but one where there are a lot of handicappers masquerading against a few group types. Arnold Lane has struggled in group company and the ground may be too soft for this horse. Jack Dexter has seriously impressed me as I was a doubter at the beginning, but this race could be more of an afterthought after Ascot and struggled in this last year. The distance will be a touch too far for the likes of Ballesteros, Dinkum Diamond and Free Zone. Last year’s winner Eton Rifles has every chance as does recent winner Mass Rally but for me HIGHLAND COLORI goes from strength to strength and is the one for the bet tip here. The form beating the Lockinge 2nd here by 3l last time out is extremely impressive and should go extremely close. Jack Dexter, Eton Rifles and Mass Rally can all go very close and it is a tough one but the form of HIGHLAND COLORI should be too much for most of these.

3:00 Doncaster – COCKTAIL QUEEN 9/1

Not many horse capture the eye here considering it is a listed race, Making Eyes won a reasonable Listed race at Newcastle beating some of these earlier in the year but struggled after. Prussian was 2nd in a G2 at Meydan but struggled in that race won by Making Eyes, should strip better for this and hasn't been over raced this year like most here. Yojojo has run well as of late but this is a step up too much. There are a few interesting 3 year old's who graced my notebook earlier in the year, Agent Allison was very well thought of but has been disappointing. Cushion, Jabhaat, Empress Adelaide and Princess Loulou could all develop into decent horses but my best bet has to be COCKTAIL QUEEN. Won a very good maiden at Nottingham including Cushion (Listed placed), The Lark (G2 winner), Elik (Listed Winner) on Good to soft ground and David Elsworth doesn't send many runners to the French 1000 Guineas!

3:35 – FORGOTTEN HERO 16/1

This turns out to be normally a very competitive handicap. Aiken used to be a top class horse but has struggled as of late. Lahaag finally won a decent handicap but this could prove to be a lot more competitive. Conduct is rapidly improving but might not have the experience for an extremely tough handicap like this one. A lot of the rest have struggled off handicap marks in the mid 80's and the aptly named FORGOTTEN HERO could be the forgotten horse here, won a lot more competitive handicap last time out beating one time Derby hopeful Greatwood and Bishop Roko who is very highly rated too. This horse can go on the ground and now stepped up to 12f again where it finally seems comfortable, FORGOTTEN HERO could be the hero for many punters and come home with a big prize here in the November Handicap.
