Sandown Horse Racing Trends (RUK/C4)

1.50 – 32Red Casino Handicap Chase Cl2 2m CH4

9/9 – Won over at least 2m (chase) previously
7/9 – Aged either 8 or 9 years-old
8/9 – Ran within the last 2 months
8/9 – Priced 17/2 or shorter
7/9 – Never raced at Sandown
8/9 – Winning distance – 2 lengths or more
7/9 – Irish bred
7/9 – Officially rated 135 or higher
7/9 – Carried 11-0 or more in weight
7/9 – Favourite placed
7/9 – From the top 3 in the betting
6/9 – Won between 1-4 times over fences in the UK previously
4/9 – Unplaced last time out
5/9 – Favourites
5/9 – Went onto run in that season’s Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival
4/9 – Trained by Paul Nicholls
3/9 – Ridden by Ruby Walsh
2/9 – Ran at Cheltenham last time out
3/9 – Went onto win a race at that season’s Cheltenham Festival (Champion Chase, Grand Annual)
3/9 – Won their last race

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS:The Paul Nicholls yard is worth looking out for in this race – they’ve won it 4 times in the last 9 runnings but this year with no runners it will be another yard that take this. So, a key trend to look for is that 7 of the last 9 winners aged either 8 or 9. One horse that does fit the bill on that front is PEARL’S LEGEND (Bet here at 5/1 with Bet365). This 9 year-old is as consistent as they come after a string of good runs, including a win last time out at Cheltenham. Add in he’s a proven CD winner here at Sandown then despite a 6lb rise we think can go well again.

2.25 – 32Red Tolworth Novices´ Hurdle (Grade 1) Cl1 2m110y CH4

11/11 – Won over at least 2m (hurdles) before
11/11 – Placed 1st or 2nd in their last race

10/11 – Priced  5/1 or shorter
9/11 – Won between 1-2 times over hurdles previously
9/11 – Came from the top three in the market
9/11 – Won by a horse aged either 5 or 6 years-old
8/11 – Won last time out
8/11 – Placed favourites
7/11 – Winners that went onto run at that season’s Cheltenham Festival
6/11 – Won by a horse aged 5 years-old
6/11 – Won by an Irish bred horse
4/11 – Won by the Paul Nicholls stable
5/11 – Favourites
4/11 – Ran at either Sandown (2) or Newbury (2) last time out
2/11 – Ridden by jockey Ruby Walsh
3/11 – Ridden by jockey Barry Geraghty
2/11 – Ran at Sandown before
3/11 – Won by the Nicky Henderson stable
2/11 – Won by the Jonjo O’Neill stable
1/11 – Won the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle later that season (Noland 2006)
5 or 6 years-old have won 17 of the last 23 runnings
Since 1988 ALL winners have been aged 7 or younger

Note: 2002 – Running staged at Warwick
2003 – Running staged at Wincanton

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: Looks a good race in prospect here with several of the big yards on show. Female jumps jockey of the moment, Lizzie Kelly, will be hoping for another big win here with Argapart and looks to hold every chance. Welsh Shadow was very impressive last time out too and looks a big player, as does Charmix, but the Nicky Henderson yard have won this race three times in the last four years so their O O SEVEN (Bet here at 7/2 with Paddy Power) is the call. This 6 year-old was a nice winner at Sandown last time out, and the form of that win has been franked with the second – Premier Bond – winning in the week at Newbury.

3.00 – 32RedSport.com Veterans´ Handicap Chase Final (The Final of The 2015 Veterans´ Chase Series) Cl2 3m37y CH4

No previous runnings
Fergal O’Brien has a 50% record (2 from 4) with his chasers here
Charlie Mann has a +£34 level stakes profit with his chasers here
Colin Tizzard is just 2 from 22 with his chasers here
Nigel Twiston-Davies is 0 from 23 with his chasers here

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: Some old faces on show here for this Veterans’ Chase – with all the runners aged 11 or older. Plenty with chances but the Fergal O’Brien yard do well here with a 50% record with their chasers – with that in mind CREEVYTENNANT (e/w) (Bet here at 25/1 with 888 Sport) – is worth a second look at a nice price. Of the rest, Alan King’s ARALDUR (e/w) (Bet here at 14/1 with William Hill) is down a few pounds for his recent third of 5 at Leicester, but the longer trip here should suit him better and he’s also a past course winner. Yes, he’s 12 year-old now, but all the others are not getting any younger either so we’ll take him each-way too.

3.35 –32Red Handicap Hurdle Cl2 2m110y CH4

9/10 – Ran within the last 8 weeks
9/10 – Won over at least 2m1f (hurdles) previously
9/10 – Aged between 5-7 years-old
8/10 – Unplaced last time out
8/10 – Had won between 1-3 times over hurdles in the UK before
7/10 – Placed in the top three last time out
7/10 – Carried 10-12 or less in weight
6/10 – Went onto run at that season’s Cheltenham Festival (no winners)
6/10 – Officially rated between 127 and 132
5/10 – Went onto finish unplaced in a Cheltenham Festival race that season
5/10 – Priced a double-figure price in the betting
4/10 – Irish bred
4/10 – Raced at either Ascot (2) or Cheltenham (2) last time out
4/10 – From the top 3 in the betting
3/10 – Won last time out
2/10 – Trained by Nicky Henderson
2/10 – Trained by the Pipe stable
2/10 – Trained by Venetia Williams
0/10 – Favourites

Note: 2002 & 2003 runnings were staged at Ascot

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: Melodic Rendezvous would win this with ease on old form, but at 10 years-old is showing signs he might be on the downward curve now. Red Devil Star and Dell’ Arca are interesting, but last year’s winner of the race – RAYVIN BLACK (e/w) (Bet here at 14/1 with Boylesports) could be the call to land the prize again. This 7 year-old was well-beaten last time out at Ascot but is down 3lbs for that and was only 10 lengths third behind The New One three runs back at Kempton. Yes, he’s now 18lbs higher than when taking this 12 months ago, but he’s a better horse now and has run some solid races in and around this sort of mark.

Ayr Horse Racing Betting Trends (C4/RUK)

2.05 – 32Red £10 Free Handicap Chase Cl3 3m67y CH4

No previous runnings
Nicky Richards has a 29% record with his chasers at the track
Martin Todhunter has a 23% record with his chasers at the track
Malcolm Jefferson is just 1 from 18 with his chasers at the track
Brian Harding has a 23% record when riding over fences here
Craig Nichol is just 1 from 22 riding over fences here

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: Not a lot to go on here in terms of past trends, so it could pay to stick with two trainers that seem to do well here at the track – Martin Todhunter and Nicky Richards. Martin Todhunter runs PRESENTING JUNIOR (Bet here at 5/1 with Betfair), while the Nicky Richards yard send CULTRAM ABBEY (Bet here at 8/1 with Betfair) to post. Both horses have a bit to prove on recent runs but both are previous course winners here at Ayr so that surely gives them a squeak despite needing a bit more based on recent runs.

2.40 – 32Red Casino Handicap Hurdle Cl2 2m5f91y CH4

Donald McCain has a 26% record with his hurdlers here
John Quinn has a 40% record with his hurdlers here
Nicky Richards has a 21% record with his hurdlers here
Donald Whillans has a 25% record with his hurdlers here
S R B Crawford is just 4 from 43 with his hurdlers here
R Mike Smith is 0 from 22 with his hurdlers here

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: Again not a great deal to go on here in terms of past races, but the track stats suggest there are a few yards that do well here at Ayr with their hurdlers. Most notably the Donald Whillans team, who boast an impressive 25% strike-rate at the course. They have SHADES OF MIDNIGHT (Bet here at 9/2 with Betfair) entered to run. This horse was a solid third last time out at Haydock and gets in here off the same mark. Conditions look ideal and his regular pilot Callum Whillans again takes off a handy 3lbs from the saddle.

Chelmsford Horse Racing Betting Trends (C4/ATR)

3.20 – Scoop6Soccer £1 Million Football Bet Handicap Cl2 1m5f66y CH4

No previous runnings
Alan King is 2 from 5 with his runners at the track
Dave Evans is only 1 from 20 5% with his runners at the track
Oisin Murphy has a 20% record riding older horses at the track
Fergus Sweeney has a 22% record riding older horses at the track
Andrew Mullins is just 3 from 33 riding older horses here

FREE HORSE RACING TIPS: The C4 cameras head over to Essex here for a decent pot on the AW at Chelmsford. The Alan King yard, that are more-famed for their jumpers, have been doing well at the venue since it re-opened (2 from 5) so their PRECISION FIVE (Bet here at 7/1 with Betfair) catches the eye. This consistent 7 year-old is the only CD winner on the line-up so has that big advantage over the rest, and heads here off just 2lbs higher than when a very close second at Kempton last time out.
