1.50 Newbury

First up is a registered Arc trial and, after finding one too good on the previous four occasions, HILLSTAR (11/4 Betfred) should be good enough to bounce back to winning ways.  This horse has been extremely unlucky not to win this year but the form he has shown in defeat is of the highest class and he should be able to account for his rivals.  He will enjoy the trip, has placed form at the course, and should be able to hold off the challenges of improving handicapper Glorious Protector with Tasaday also likely to fill the places.

2.55 Newbury

Next up is a big field handicap over 1m2f and a horse, who has graced the notebooks of many, reappears in the shape of AIR PILOT (5/1 Betfred).  This horse has only been beaten twice, both times by Group performers and has been carefully campaigned this season.  He has been placed well here up against exposed types and, off a mark of 8,7 it'll take a really good horse to beat him as he is expected to go on to bigger and better things this season.  Roseburg for the inform Luca Cumani, and Queensbury Rules are likely to be the main dangers.

3.15 Ayr

The last leg of this Saturday’s accumulator comes in the Doonside Cup, a Listed race over 1m2f.  With Godolphin looking to win this race for the 4th time in six years it is hard to look past SKY HUNTER (7/4 Ladbrokes).  This looks a low class contest for a Listed race, with most of the runners exposed types who are rated around 90, however the selection has previously finished third in a French Derby and should be too good if back to his best.  He's now had two races to acclimatise to Britain and has been given an excellent chance to get off the mark here.  Sennockian Star is the closest on ratings and will probably provide the toughest challenge.
