Saturday’s Channel 4 racing comes from Newbury, Newmarket and Ripon and is as competitive as ever.  With that in mind we have a Lucky 15 betting tip for you all here.

2.05 Newbury

The four runner Denford Stud Stakes is the first to be assessed and Roger Varian’s BELARDO (11/8 Coral) deserves to be favourite after a great run in the July Stakes.  It was clear to see that the Lope De Vega colt was staying on in fine fashion in behind potentially the best 2yo this year in Ivawood.  The step up to 7f will suit and the only real challenger looks to be Hawkesbury.  The Godolphin colt won well last time but that was in a standard novice contest and this is a step up while the selection is taking a step down in class and should win.

2.40 Newbury

The next leg of our Lucky 15 tip is the Geoffrey Freer stakes and looks an intriguing and competitive contest.  Pether’s Moon has been running in top class races this season but, on the official ratings, it is clear that the 8yo RED CADEAUX (5/1 bet365) is the best in the field.  The selection has been a globetrotting superstar and his return should be a winning one. French jockey Gerard Mosse takes the ride which can only give punters a boost and the selection should win at the expense of the aforementioned Richard Hannon runner and Willing Foe.

2.55 Newmarket

Moving on to Newmarket and PENNY DROPS (9/2 William Hill) looks to have solid claims in this contest.  The Invincible Spirit filly has been very consistent in better races than this and has the best form on show.  She should win this quite comfortably but the dangers may come in the shape of Lady Frances and Eastern Impact.

3.50 Newbury

The Group 2 Hungerford Stakes is the feature race of the day and forms the final leg of our Lucky 15 betting tip.  Last year’s winner GREGORIAN (7/2 Betfred) should come out on top in what looks to be another close contest.  Despite his flop at Deauville he has shown solid form and this return to 7f should suit.  The booking of Richard Hughes on Professor rather than Producer is intriguing and that horse should has claims.
