A fortnight ago before the dreaded international break neither of these sides picked up particularly desirable results so they will be glad to be back in action right those wrongs at the Britannia.

Stoke’s last game saw them travel to the Stadium of Light where a lackluster performance saw them end up losing 3-1.      Mark Hughes put the defeat down to conceding early and said his side didn’t deserve anything from the match so a good start will very much be on his agenda.

The Potters are just two places and four points above the drop zone but will take heart from beating Newcastle 1-0 in their last game at home, albeit unconvincingly.

Stoke also faced Newcastle recently but in their last game where despite leading twice could only manage a 2-2 draw. Their early season form does all of a sudden seem to be abandoning them and they now haven’t won in their last 4 matches and have drawn their last 2 games now.

The bookies find these two hard to separate going in to this one with Stoke at 6/4 with Bet365, Swansea at 21/10 with Ladbrokes and the draw at 23/10 with Coral.

It’s hard to argue with the bookies in terms of this one looking close. Stoke have lost 2 out of 3 games at home this season while it’s a one win, one draw and one defeat on the road for Swansea and that victory came back on the opening day at Old Trafford.

Both games last season between these two ended all square with a 1-1 draw at the Britannia and a 3-3 draw in South Wales, in fact Stoke’s last home Premier League draw against the Swans back in February. These two sides are tough to separate here and I do like the look of the draw at 23/10 with Coral.

One positive Swansea will have taken from their home draw with Newcastle was the fact that Wilfried Bony finally opened his goal scoring account for the season. He was denied by great saves on several occasions but his confidence will now be up and he will be hungry for more goals. He found the net for the Ivory Coast against Democratic Republic of Congo last weekend as well so he is a man finding his form again.

It may seem simple but a 6/1 he is a great shout to score first. For a bit of insurance get on it E/W with Bet365 so if he scores anytime you still get a nice 2/1 on him scoring.

There haven’t been a load of goals at the Britannia so far this season with just a single goal in each of Swansea’s home games. Mark Hughes will expect them to play better going forward and the fact that Swansea have only failed to score twice in 7 games this season you would expect them to find the net. Stoke have only failed to score twice as well this season but have kept just two clean sheets so both teams to score is worth a bet at 19/20 with Coral.
