Real Sociedad to beat Getafe 13/10:

Real Sociedad host Getafe on Sunday, a team that is falling further down the La Liga table. Sociedad before their last drubbing away to Villarreal, boasted a four game win streak, including a 2-0 home win against expected European challengers, Athletic Bilbao. This run of good fortune has now placed the blue and white Spanish stripes in 6^th position. Their opponents maybe in mid table, but if their poor form continues, Getafe could find them selves fighting against relegation come later in the season. Getafe are currently without a win in four games, and their last commanding performance arrived before Christmas. The Madrid side will have to tighten up at the back if they wish to stop Real Sociedad’s plans to gain access into Europe.

Villarreal to beat Almeria 7/20:

The Camp El Madrigal hosts a match against Almeria on Sunday and the yellow shirts of the league will be hoping to continue their siege for a European place this season. Villarreal are currently in 5^th position and even though Real Madrid are in the far distance in 3^rd, Athletico Bilbao are only two points adrift.  Villarreal will be full of confidence after their last home performance, slumping Real Sociedad with a four-goal score line. Almeria will travel with a different concern as they hang above the relegation zone holding three points against the bottom three. Their league form as of late has also been a cause for concern, Almeria don’t travel well and will want to forget about the 6-1 defeat against Bilbao in quick succession if they wish to put up a stronghold against the hot Villarreal.

Napoli to beat Bologna 7/10:

The sky blues of Naples cannot stop scoring goals and if this hunger continues, they will surely take over Roma who have felt a small dip with Juventus taking charge of the Serie A before Christmas. Napoli have scored thirteen goals in their last five and they will have to take this scoring form against Bologna who are fighting to be in the top flight. Bologna have only won once in their last five and are one point off safety after Sassuolo demolishing AC Milan last week. Bologna will be looking at that match for inspiration as beating a giant will not only boost confidence, but will also boost their survival plans.

Academica to beat Gil Vicente 21/20:

We follow Academica again at the Estadio EFAPEL as they take on Gil Vicente just above them in 9^th position. Academica will be looking forward to the match up as they hold a two game win streak with an away result in the cup and a recent home game, thrashing Pacos de Ferreira 4-0.  The middle of the table is very tight in the Portugal Premiere Liga and if Academica win, and if other results go their way, Academica could find them selves going into 7^th position or at the very minimum, taking over their opponents. Gil Vicente on the other hand need healing as they have failed to gain three points in their last five games. Recent defeats by Nacional, Benfica and the newcomers, Arouca has faulted the team to mid table, but the threat of relegation will loom larger if they fail to capture maximum points.

Braga to beat Pacos de Ferreira 1/2:

Sporting Braga will invite Pacos de Ferreira to the Estadio AXA on Sunday with the intentions of building on their impressive unbeaten streak. The red shirts from Braga are on a four game win streak and have recently qualified to the next round of the domestic league cup, now they will face a relegation threatened Pacos to improve their chances of making the qualification places in the league. Pacos will travel with a glimmer a hope, their last match was a win in the cup against lower league opposition, but more much will be needed to avoid the drop which looks very likely, a performance needs to be found if Braga have a European mission to complete.
