Sunday’s Horse Racing Betting Tips – 26th July

As we head into the second half of the weekend this Sunday we’ve plenty more horse racing today, with all flat racing fixtures from Carlisle and Pontefract, while Uttoxeter race over the jumps.

Our resident horse racing betting expert, Andy Newton, is on hand with today’s free horse racing tips this Sunday (26th July) across the cards.

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Carlisle Tips –

3.50 – Carlisle– MORE MISCHIEF (Bet at 2/1 with Skybet) looks the call here – Jedd O’Keefe’s charge was a nice winner last time out at Hamilton – showing a great attitude – and can defy the 6lb rise in the ratings.

5.00 – Carlisle – Karl Burke’s FIDELMA MOON (Bet at 5/1 with Ladbrokes) was a good winner last time here and looks interesting off just 5lbs higher. The conditions look ideal and the step up in trip should not be an issue, while the jockey, Jordan Vaughan, takes off a handy 5lbs.

Pontefract Tips –

2.20– Pontefract – Trainer William Haggas does well with his runners at Pontefract so his EMERALD BAY (Bet at 7/2 with Paddy Power) is the call here. The horse was a nice fourth on debut and with the expected improvement can do better this time. Godolphin’s Fast Enough looks the danger.

4.00– Pontefract – Unbeaten from two runs Godolphin’s LET’S GO (Bet at 11/8 with Boylesports) could be a grade above this lot. A decent pot up for grabs and connections have won this race three times since 2007 – James Doyle rides.

5.10 – Pontefract – The boys in blue of Godolphin boast a decent record with their runners at the track so we’ll take a chance on their unraced AD DABARAN (Bet a 10/11 with Coral) here. The fact one of their main jockeys – James Doyle – rides is a plus, while their juveniles are normally ready to run first time out.

Uttoxeter Tips –

4.10 – Uttoxeter – A good race with a good pot here. Ulis de Vassey is feared having caught the eye in his last two wins, but the horse is not much value. We know the Jeremy Scott yard do well here, so his MOORLANDS JACK (Bet at 16/1 with Skybet) looks a fair e/w option. Yes, this is a step up in grade and the horse 5lbs out of the handicap, but he won well here last time and gets in here with just 10st.

5.50 – Uttoxeter – SIGNIFICANT MOVE (Bet at 4/1 with Bet365) was a beaten favourite last time out but we think the horse can make amends here. Grand National-winning trainer Dr Richard Newland’s 8 year-old wasn’t beaten far last time and off just 3lbs higher in what doesn’t look the best of races should be in the mix.
