Sunday’s Horse Racing Tips – 2nd August

As move into Sunday we’ve plenty more horse racing today, with all flat racing fixtures from Chester & Chepstow, while Market Rasen race over the jumps.

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Chepstow Tips –

3.40 – Chepstow – The Patrick Chammings team boast a decent 31% record here so their runner THE REEL WAY (e/w) (Bet here at 10/1 with Betfred) stands out – the horse has been running well in defeat of late and David Probert is a plus in he saddle. She’s dropped a pound for her recent fourth of 11 and has clearly been given a chance by the handicapper.

5.15 – Chepstow – Andrew Balding’s MAN LOOK (Bet here at 10/3 with William Hill) has been running in lot better races than this and now down in grade is the call to take this. Trip, track and ground look ideal and the yard have an eye-catching 28% record with their runners here.

Chester Tips –

3.15 – Chester – INTRANSIGENT (Bet here at 5/1 with Coral) took this race 12 months ago and is expected to go close again. The horse has a fair draw in 5 and is one of just two CD winners in the field. Yes, the horse has to give weight away all-round, but is an improved animal since last year.

3.50 – Chester – The winner of this race last year – APOSTLE (Bet here at 10/1 with William Hill) – lines-up again here and off the same mark looks a big player. Ok, the horse has not won a race since but has been running off higher marks and returns to a track he clearly relishes.

4.25 – Chester – The Tom Dascombe yard have taken this race for the last three years and look set to have a great chance of making it four on the spin. They run FOUR’S COMPANY (Bet here at 4/1 with 888 Sport) this time and this horse heads here off the back of an easy Wolverhampton win last time. The horse is well-drawn in stall 4 and stays further than this 6f trip, which is another plus.

Market RasenTips –

2.20 – Market Rasen – This looks another good chance for the John Ferguson team to grab another winner – this time with ARABIAN OASIS (Bet here at 5/4 with Skybet). Unraced over hurdles, but the horse was a fair flat performer for Charlie Appleby and we know this yard excel with these well-bred ex flat horses over the sticks. Retro Valley is the danger.

4.05 – Market Rasen– DINO MITE (Bet here at 5/1 with Skybet) looks interesting here. This Jamie Snowden-trained 4 year-old is yet to finish out of the top three in her last five starts and despite being a beaten favourite last time that was her first race for 3 months and should be fitter for it.
