Supreme Novices’ Hurdle Predictions – Cheltenham 1.30pm.

Min has been impressive on what we have seen to date, and although the form stacks up reasonably well, it is very hard to advise anybody to back him at current prices die my Cheltenham tips. The early prices now look great value but that has all dried up, but after all this is the Cheltenham Festival and shocks are sure to occur throughout the week! Dunguib and My Tent or Yours come to mind in recent years.

There looks to be plenty of value elsewhere, and arguably the best form being brought to the table comes from ALTIOR who has been backed from 6/1 into 4/1 ahead of the Cheltenham day 1 opener. Nicky Henderson’s High Chaparral gelding looks to have solid form, and was very impressive when coming home a handsome winner last time out ahead of Open Eagle. He doesn’t travel with the same vigour Min has done, but he’s a fighter and that will suit a battle up the Cheltenham hill, he certainly won’t be found wanting on what we’ve seen to date.

Henderson also runs Buveur D’air who has been mightily impressive to date over hurdles but again, a bit like Min has yet to mix it with serious opposition; he looks to be the second string for the Henderson team.

Of the Irish contingent, the one at a bigger price that catches the eye is SUPASUNDAE who is now 16/1 from 20/1 in the Cheltenham Supreme Novices’ Hurdle odds. He had Yanworth behind him in an Ascot bumper, and ran a creditable 6th in last year’s Champion Bumper, with little luck in running. His latest hurdle run was very convincing and with Henry De Bromhead sure to have him in good shape, and looks the best value to grab a place at a price for an each-way bet on the race.
