Swansea v Man Utd Match Preview & Betting Tips

Man Utd were back in form on Wednesday night as they put 4 past Club Brugge and qualified for the Champions League. The Red Devils have been a little unconvincing up until that point with a drab 0-0 draw with Newcastle last weekend. They visit the Liberty Stadium full of confidence after their midweek rout.

Swansea have started the season competently and although many feel as though they will be disappointed not to have taken all 3 points away from Sunderland last weekend, Gary Monk can be happy with his sides' progress. Bafetimbi Gomis has made Swansea fans ask 'Wilfried who?' as he has made a scoring start to the new season. Despite his perculiar celebration, he is their leading marksmen and will be a thorn in the side of Man Utd's back 4.

The Swans have pace to burn and Jonjo Shelvey has been in good shape in the midfield and they will be dangerous opponents for Man Utd. Louis Van Gaal's side were lucky on the opening day to win 1-0 against Spurs, they haven't quite clicked into second gear, but their midweek display was a little more like it.

Wayne Rooney was back amongst the goals following criticism of his recent goalscoring drought. He will be full of confidence as he leads the line for his side. Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin have both slotted in well and Memphis looks continually dangerous with his sudden bursts of pace.

Swansea did the double over their visitors last season triumphing 2-1 on both occasions and they certainly aren't scared of facing the bigger teams. They held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw on the opening day of the season and will give United a decent challenge.

Despite being fairly insipid games and even appearing last on MOTD last weekend, I think Man Utd will come out of their shell against a side who are synonymous with playing terrific passing football.

I think both sides will find the net during the 90 minutes.

Both Teams to Score? Yes – 10/11 Betfred

I think these two teams are quite evenly matched and I can't see Swansea slipping up at home. Man Utd will put up a decent fight and will be full of confidence following their battering of Belgians. I think it'll end all square.

Match Result – Draw – 11/5 William Hill

Andre Ayew came agonisingly close to giving Swansea all 3 points last week at Sunderland. His header bounced off the post and was cleared. He has already chipped in with a goal this season and I think he might pop up and score against the Red Devils.
