Monica Puig V’s Venus Williams

Puig to cause Venus problems…

Monica Puig is a player on the rise with good wins this season over the likes of Petkovic and she rattled off a convincing win against the out of form Hlackova yesterday, including a 6-0 second set. Venus had to retire before her last match and has other motivation besides playing for being at Charleston (promoting her new clothing range). I fancy Puig to catch her cold in the first set and hopefully go on to take the match.

Sorona Cristea V's Aanabel Medins Garrigues

I like Cirstea to beat Medina Garrigues tonight, can get 4/5 at the moment. Medina picked up an injury at the end of her round one match and has been struggling apparently.

A couple of decent bets from Charleston today with the Under 20.5 games catching my eye in the Lisicki match first and foremost. A double bagel from in her match yesterday against Tatishvilli  and in these conditions I think she’s got far too many weapons to prevent Burdette getting into the match.

Erakovic V Stosur

Second one for me today is Erakovic to upset Stosur who makes her return after the calf injury that caused her to retire from Indian Wells. Erakovic was dominant in her match yesterday against Hantuchova and if the ball is flying we’ve seen Stosur to struggle to find her best tennis in the past.
